In the past 5 years, we have seriously implemented the Resolution of the 8th Central Committee of the 11th and 13th terms on "Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation", the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee of the 10th term on "Vietnam's marine strategy to 2020", the Resolution of the 8th Central Committee of the 12th term on "Strategy for sustainable development of Vietnam's marine economy to 2030, vision to 2045"; under the direction of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of National Defense , directly the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Party Committee, the Navy Command and the Party committees and commanders at all levels have regularly paid attention to leading, directing, comprehensively, systematically and in-depthly implementing the contents of the program solutions for coordinating propaganda on seas and islands with the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees directly under the Central Government and 16 Central agencies and press agencies nationwide. Every year, the Navy coordinates with the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committees, the Municipal Party Committees directly under the Central Government and the Party Committees of agencies and units... to send more than 1,600 cadres and reporters to directly propagate about the sea and islands to more than 1.3 million cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, students and people in localities across the country.

From there, it helps cadres, party members and people clearly perceive the complex, fierce and long-term nature of the struggle to protect the sovereignty of the seas and islands of the Fatherland; have absolute confidence in the leadership of the Party, the management and administration of the State; share the difficulties and hardships of the forces on duty at the front line of the Fatherland; Resolutely fight and refute erroneous viewpoints and fabricated and untrue information of hostile forces aimed at sabotaging our Party, State and Army.

In the coming time, the Party Committee, the Navy Command, the Provincial Party Committees, the City Party Committees and 16 agencies and units nationwide will coordinate to well implement 9 main solutions in implementing the program of coordination of propaganda on seas and islands. First of all, focus on thoroughly grasping and seriously implementing the leadership of the Party, the direction and guidance of the Central Committee, comprehensively, synchronously and in-depthly deploying the program of coordination of propaganda on seas and islands in a broad, practical and effective manner. Comprehensively and flexibly apply many forms and measures of propaganda suitable for each locality, unit, area, time, object, characteristics and specific conditions. Regularly pay attention, care for and improve knowledge about seas and islands for the team of reporters and propagandists. Improve the quality and effectiveness of coordination of propaganda to fight to protect the sovereignty of seas and islands of the Fatherland in association with mobilizing resources to serve the goal of successfully implementing the political tasks of each agency, locality and unit. Preserve modern weapons and equipment systems on combat ships.

Coordinate with 28 coastal provinces and cities to promote the implementation of Directive No. 32-CT/TW dated April 10, 2024 of the Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing and sustainable development of the fisheries sector"; Directive 45/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on a number of urgent tasks and solutions to overcome the European Commission's warning on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing; continue to effectively implement the Program "Vietnam Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea", the activity "Navy sponsors fishermen's children". Promote propaganda work on defense diplomacy in the direction of the sea; actively participate in conferences and seminars on territorial borders chaired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , to propagate, provide information and legal basis on the East Sea; Fight and refute false arguments about Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands. Organize specialized exhibitions on seas and islands in competitions, propagate, promote, and widely introduce to all classes of people the image of Navy soldiers in performing the task of protecting the sovereignty over seas and islands of the Fatherland. Promote mass mobilization, gratitude, build new rural areas, civilized urban areas; cultural and artistic exchanges, visit historical sites associated with propaganda about the history and typical feats of the heroic Vietnam People's Navy.
