Nghe An receives 31 Lao students to study the General Education Program

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 2406/QD-UBND dated September 13, 2024 to receive 31 international students from the Lao People's Democratic Republic to study the General Education Program for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to the approved Decision, out of a total of 31 Lao PDR students studying the General Education Program for the 2024-2025 school year in Nghe An , there are: 7 students in Bolikhamxay province; 12 students in Xieng Khouang and Hua Phan provinces (each province has 6 students); 12 students in three provinces: Vientiane, Sava Nakhet, and Khammouane (each province has 4 students).

The People's Committee of Nghe An province assigned the Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities No. 2 to receive, arrange accommodation, living and activities, and organize teaching and learning tasks according to the High School Education Program for 31 students from the Lao People's Democratic Republic (who have received language training and completed the training program) approved by the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An to be admitted to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year.

It is known that from 2012 to now, Nghe An has allocated more than 170 billion VND to support the training of cadres, students and pupils from Lao provinces to study Vietnamese at Nghe An Pedagogical College and study majors at university and postgraduate levels at Vinh University, Vinh Medical University, Nghe An University of Economics , Vinh University of Industry and Vinh University of Technical Education. In addition, Nghe An province has granted scholarships to train human resources for 1,157 cadres, students and pupils from Laos to study at universities and colleges in the area.

The work of supporting human resource training has helped the provinces of Laos to be maintained by Nghe An province and achieved many results with increasingly improved quantity and quality, contributing to supporting the neighboring provinces to build and develop their staff, meeting the needs of human resources in the new situation. At the same time, contributing to strengthening and promoting the close cooperation relationship in all fields between Nghe An province and the provinces of Laos in particular, as well as between Vietnam and Laos in general.
