Ngoc Anh performs the song "Bustling Spring Comes" at the MV launch press conference.

The setting of the MV is Trang An village, the singer's paternal hometown. Ngoc Anh said that when she proposed filming the MV, the whole village was very supportive. On the day of filming, the whole village was like a festival and many people told her that it was an unforgettable memory in their life.

In addition, images of communal houses, flower markets, etc., familiar to many Northern countrysides, are also vividly included in the MV.

The production also has the participation of nearly 100 actors and staff of the Vietnam Tuong Theater.

Revealing more about the song, Ngoc Anh said that she wrote the first verse of "Bustling Spring Comes" 20 years ago and recently completed the second verse.

If the first verse is a thank you for all the love in life, including romantic love, the second verse expresses the singer's gratitude to her roots and ancestors.

For the female singer, during her years in a foreign land, her heart always yearns for her homeland. The love and care of her family members and relatives is her spiritual support, and is also what she always remembers and is proud of. That is also what makes her want to make a MV to show her gratitude to her homeland.

Talking about the reason for waiting 20 years to complete the second verse and make the MV, singer Ngoc Anh said she always dreamed of making a product dedicated to her homeland.

She discovered that her father's health - People's Artist Hoang Van Khiem - was starting to weaken, his memory was declining. Fearing that his father was getting weaker and weaker, unable to participate in her MV, Ngoc Anh asked her younger brother - singer Anh Khang to do something to make the family and relatives happy this Tet holiday.

Ngoc Anh and her younger brother worked together to create the idea for the MV, inviting the family to join in. Her younger brother took on the rap part based on the singer's idea while her father, People's Artist Hoang Van Khiem, performed the couplets he wrote himself and also took on a role recreating the image of national heroes as if watching over the footsteps of his descendants in the MV.

People's Artist Hoang Van Khiem shared when participating in his daughter's MV.

Sharing about participating in his daughter's MV, People's Artist Hoang Van Khiem confided: "Participating in my daughter's MV is a fate for me, contributing to creating a certain effect in the MV, with a traditional, ancient feature. What is more meaningful in the MV is the combination of a person participating in traditional art with a new art form rather than music ."

It is known that People's Artist Hoang Van Khiem worked at the Tuong Theater until his retirement in 2010.

According to him, art is a very unique thing, and to pursue an artistic career, one must have talent. He said that his daughter Ngoc Anh has loved music since she was a child, had some talent, and through training, she has now become a singer.

"Ngoc Anh was born in the cradle of theatrical art, especially Tuong theater, where the artist's way of expressing himself to the audience and his work is a bit different. I think Ngoc Anh was deeply influenced in the way he sang and his personality in Tuong art," People's Artist Hoang Van Khiem expressed.

Ngoc Anh was born in 1975, a former member of the famous 3A group in Hanoi in the 1990s. After the group disbanded, she sang solo and achieved much success with songs by musician Phu Quang.

She made her mark with a series of songs by musicians such as: "Autumn Song", "Autumn Hides You", "Silent Night of Hanoi"... During his lifetime, musician Phu Quang once said that Ngoc Anh was one of the people who sang his music the best.

In 2008, Ngoc Anh moved to the US to settle down with her ex-husband - musician Tran Hung and son Ben Tran.

In 2018, Ngoc Anh remarried businessman John Gallander - who is 12 years older than her.

For the past 5 years, Ngoc Anh has been traveling between Vietnam and the US regularly to participate in music shows. With her deep, emotional voice, she made an impression when participating in Masked Singer with mascot Cun Toc Lo and Our Song 2024.
