Stop selling and using 6 types of shower gel, facial cleanser, and skin cream

The Ministry of Health requested local Health Departments to notify people to immediately stop selling and using six cosmetic products, including shower gels, facial cleansers, and skin care creams, due to violations of regulations.

With the reason that the cosmetic products have formula ingredients that do not match the published records, 6 types of domestically produced cosmetics have just been suspended from circulation, recalled, and destroyed nationwide by the Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ).

Products include: Vinatid (shower and facial cleanser), registration number 004149/20/CBMP-HCM issued on October 5, 2020. This product is brought to market by GAMMA Pharmaceutical - Cosmetic Production Company Limited (HCMC), manufactured by a branch of this company.

The remaining 5 products are brought to market by Dang Duong Cosmetics Production and Trading Company Limited (HCMC) and produced by this company's branch, including: High-class anti-melasma cream, Whitening cream to help regenerate skin, Whitening cream to help restore skin, Whitening cream to help prevent skin aging, Melasma and freckles cream. These products were granted cosmetic product declaration acceptance numbers by the HCMC Department of Health in March and April 2023.

The Ministry of Health requests the Department of Health of provinces and cities to notify cosmetic businesses and users in the area to immediately stop selling and using the above 6 products and return them to the product suppliers; recall and destroy violating products; inspect and supervise units implementing this notice; and handle violators according to current regulations.

In addition, the Drug Administration also announced the suspension of circulation and nationwide recall of 3 batches of cosmetic products that GAMMA Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Production Company Limited was responsible for bringing to the market.

3 product batches include: Neoderm plus (skin whitening cream), batch number NDPS011023; Production date: October 28, 2023; Lucci product, batch number LUCI010324; Production date: March 16, 2024 and Dolly Ac Acnes Gel product (acne prevention gel), batch number DLAC010824, Production date: August 2, 2024.

The product batches were recalled due to their effects not being consistent with the uses in the published dossier.
