That is a great message, and the Law on Teachers has legalized the spirit and policies of the Party's education and training development. Teachers today are expected not only to teach, but also to accompany knowledge, lead innovation and unlock human potential. They need to maintain professional ethics, constantly improve their professional capacity, master technology and innovate teaching methods in the digital age.

While many advanced countries such as Japan, South Korea, the US, the UK, Germany, etc. still do not have a separate law for teachers - often only included in the civil service law or the education law - Vietnam has gone ahead with a specialized, comprehensive and humane law. This is a very remarkable institutional step forward.

The law clearly stipulates the right to protect the honor, body and dignity of teachers inside and outside of school. All acts of insult, threat and slander - including in cyberspace - are strictly prohibited and have specific sanctions. This is important in the context of a number of unfortunate incidents that have damaged the trust of teachers and society.

Along with that is a system of reasonable remuneration policies, showing respect for the teaching profession. Teachers' salaries are ranked the highest in the public career system, along with specific allowances such as area, responsibility, seniority, and specialized education. The law also stipulates a flexible retirement mechanism.

In particular, the Law on Teachers emphasizes the need for continuous professional development. This is a shift from the model of "stable teaching profession" to the model of "lifelong learning profession". Teachers are not only communicators, but also must constantly learn, research, and innovate to keep up with modern society, with the expectations of students, parents, and the country.

A very humane point in the Teachers Law is the new approach to the issue of extra teaching. The law does not prohibit teachers from giving extra lessons, but strictly prohibits all forms of forcing students to take extra lessons - whether directly or indirectly. This is a gentle but profound regulation, showing a mindset of respecting students' right to study and teachers' professional rights.

The law also establishes the model of a new-age teacher - not only teaching and grading, but also inspiring, guiding and accompanying the development of students' abilities and qualities. For university lecturers, the law requires them to be involved in scientific research, transfer knowledge, produce academic products, and contribute to society and the knowledge-based economy . The education sector is given autonomy in recruiting, evaluating, and developing staff to ensure the right person is selected for the right job, with the right capacity and dedication.

On the other hand, from law to life is not a short journey. For the Law on Teachers to truly come into practice, it requires the synchronous participation of the Government, the Ministry of Education and Training, relevant ministries and localities. Specific guidance documents are needed, and a strong budget is needed. Above all, it requires initiative, confidence and inspiration from the teaching staff themselves, so that they can embark on a new journey with the mindset of an enlightener, a creator, a guide to the future.

When the morning light floods into the classroom, today’s teachers are no longer alone. Behind them is a law - a nation standing behind, protecting, encouraging and expecting. The Law on Teachers is not only a legal step forward, but also a sincere gratitude and long-term support for those who quietly sow the seeds of knowledge every day.
