Many activities to celebrate the 120th birthday of General Secretary Tran Phu

According to the plans of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, Duc Tho District Party Committee and localities, many activities to celebrate the 120th birthday of Comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party will be held from now until May 2024.

Proud to be the hometown that gave birth to such an outstanding son, Duc Tho district has proactively organized many meetings, discussed and implemented many tasks towards the anniversary.

Head of the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department Bui Le Van said: The District Party Committee's Standing Committee has established an Organizing Committee to promote commemorative activities and assign specific tasks to members. Based on proactive advice from departments, offices, branches and meetings to reach consensus, on October 6, 2023, the Duc Tho District Party Committee issued Plan No. 97-KH/HU on promoting and organizing activities to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party (May 1, 1904 - May 1, 2024).

According to this plan, a series of important and practical events will be held from now until May 2023. In particular, along with surface propaganda throughout the area, the district will organize a "Contest to learn about the life, background and career of Comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party"; launch the "120-day peak emulation movement" in localities and units throughout the district; organize mass art festivals, sports competitions; organize a district-level workshop "Tran Phu's Will - Duc Tho Aspiration".

At the same time, organize political activities through forums, seminars, and thematic activities "Our Party is truly great"; "General Secretary Tran Phu - A staunch communist soldier, an outstanding leader of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution"...

During the celebration, the district will organize a meeting to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Comrade Tran Phu's birthday in conjunction with a three-year review of the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the 13th Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the 12th Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" and commending advanced examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.

According to the Head of the Propaganda Department of Duc Tho District Party Committee, the District People's Committee has assigned departments and branches to concretize the plan into specific tasks for implementation. After the weather stabilizes, the district will build a system of billboards and propaganda posters along the roads in the area.

At the end of October, the Provincial Party Standing Committee issued Plan 212-KH/TU on propaganda and organization of activities to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The purpose and requirements are determined to honor the great contributions and contributions of Comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the Vietnamese people and the homeland of Ha Tinh; contribute to educating revolutionary traditions, strengthening faith, and arousing pride in the homeland and country for cadres, party members and the people.

Organizing commemorative activities to ensure solemnity, practicality, effectiveness, and high educational value; creating a patriotic emulation movement in the entire Party, people, and army, associated with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, and resolutions of party congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term.

In addition to propaganda content, the plan clearly states the documents and forms of propaganda for Party committees, authorities, agencies, localities and units to implement to ensure requirements and create high unity.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and Tran Phu Political School will also advise on the development of a plan to coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Vietnam Historical Science Association to organize a scientific seminar on General Secretary Tran Phu. At the same time, the production of documentary films; the collection, display, and exhibition of documents, artifacts, and memorabilia... will be organized seriously and systematically.

On the occasion of the anniversary, the province will organize incense and flower offerings at the General Secretary Tran Phu Memorial Site; organize a provincial-level celebration and a special art program along with many other practical activities held throughout the province.

Immediately after the Provincial Party Committee issued the plan, on October 31, 2023, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 6060/UBND-VX "On assigning the implementation of Plan 212-KH/TU of the Provincial Party Committee". The People's Committee assigned provincial departments, branches, sectors, mass organizations, People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to launch and promote patriotic emulation movements to successfully carry out economic, cultural and social development tasks, ensuring national defense and security at all levels, sectors, among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life to celebrate the anniversary.

Departments and branches, based on the content and tasks, are responsible for presiding over and coordinating with relevant departments, branches, agencies and units to implement to ensure the purpose, effectiveness and prescribed time.

The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to urgently complete the Project to build, restore, embellish, upgrade and expand the General Secretary Tran Phu Memorial Site to prepare a dossier to propose recognition as a special national historical relic.
