On July 19, information appeared on several websites about a group of tourists being stranded due to heavy rain and strong winds while visiting Tam Coc tourist area, Ninh Binh province.
Regarding this information, speaking with VNA reporters, the leader of Ninh Binh Province's Department of Tourism said that absolutely no tourists were stranded during their visit.
Specifically, Mr. Bui Van Manh, Director of Ninh Binh Province Department of Tourism, said that Ninh Binh province's tourism industry has drastically implemented plans to ensure safety for tourists during the rainy and stormy season.
Due to the unusual weather conditions, on the afternoon of July 19, the Tam Coc-Bich Dong Tourist Area Management Board arranged a motorboat to safely transport about 90 tourists who had completed the entire tour of the tourist area.
As for the group of 27 tourists visiting Cong Rong, the boatmen took them to safety. These tourists requested to continue their visit the following day.
In order to create maximum conditions for tourists, Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism has worked with the Tourist Area Management Board on the tourists' requests and received approval.
That same afternoon, all tourists returned to the port and went ashore safely.
Thus, the information about tourists being stranded while visiting Tam Coc-Bich Dong tourist area by boat on the afternoon of July 19 is incorrect./.
