Stabilize teaching and learning at the beginning of the new school year

After the summer vacation, students return to school with a positive and proactive mindset, especially when the new school year brings with it many goals and expectations. Many students prepare their lessons before coming to class and review previous knowledge in the first week of school. The learning atmosphere in all grades takes place seriously with close coordination between the school, teachers, and parents in accompanying and supporting. In particular, students in grades 9 and 12 identify this as a "pivotal" school year for the entrance exam to grade 10 and the 2026 High School Graduation Exam, so they strive to study right from the first week of school.

Nguyen Thi Hien, a 9B student at Tran Quoc Toan Secondary School (Tuy Hoa Ward), shared: “I am determined to take the entrance exam to the English specialized class at Luong Van Chanh Specialized High School, so from the beginning of the school year, I actively reviewed my knowledge, listened to my teachers' lectures, and practiced my English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills... to prepare for the upcoming important exams.”

For 12th grade students, they proactively make study plans, divide time reasonably between subjects with the highest determination. H Mat Byã, a 12A4 student at N'Trang Long Ethnic Boarding High School (Thanh Nhat Ward) proactively prepares mentally and reviews knowledge right from the summer break. "In addition to studying in class, I spend time studying on my own at the dormitory, using materials provided by teachers and reading more books to expand my knowledge. I also practice solving application questions to best prepare for tests, assessments during the school year and the upcoming High School Graduation Exam," said H Mat.

"The Department of Education and Training has directed units and schools to seriously organize educational activities right from the beginning of the school year. These include organizing for students to learn about the traditions and activities of the school; disseminating the school's rules and regulations; building school culture; introducing educational activities, educational programs, learning and training methods at school and in class..." - Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Thanh Xuan.

Schools also soon implemented review plans and classified students to have the best form of support for students to study, creating the premise for high results in the upcoming exams. Vo Thi Sau High School (Tuy An Dong Commune), from the beginning of the 2025 - 2026 school year, the school completed the 2-session teaching program according to the 2018 General Education Program for 3 grades, suitable to the school's conditions. In the first session, the school arranged the main subjects, in the second session, the school taught the subjects: Experiential activities, Physical Education, at the same time organized review for grade 12 students to take the 2026 high school graduation exam and taught remedial lessons for weak students.

The 2025-2026 school year continues to be the key year for implementing the 2018 General Education Program. The teaching staff has been thoroughly trained during the summer, ready to apply teaching methods that promote students' abilities, taking learners as the center.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Rong, a teacher at Victory Primary, Secondary & High School (Buon Ma Thuot Ward), said that applying information technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to lessons is no longer simply about imparting knowledge, but has become active, exciting, and highly practical lessons. Teachers innovate in the way they set questions, organize group activities, and apply information technology in teaching, helping students develop their capacity, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

According to Mr. Do Thong, Principal of Vo Thi Sau High School (Tuy An Dong Commune), for grade 10 students, the school builds a teaching plan that basically meets the wishes of studying the chosen subjects according to registration. The school arranges teachers with capacity, experience, and enthusiasm to take on the role of homeroom teachers for the first classes; organizes professional activities, and applies effective teaching right from the beginning of the year. "For new grade 10 students, homeroom teachers and subject teachers learn about the circumstances, learning abilities, and strengths of each student, from there, have appropriate methods for them to study effectively," said Mr. Do Thong.

Ms. Phan Thi Xuan, Principal of Krong Buk Primary School (Ea Kly Commune) shared that in the 2025-2026 school year, the school will closely follow the theme of the school year "Discipline - Creativity - Breakthrough - Development" to organize teaching activities at school in a positive direction. Accordingly, in parallel with class hours are activities, experiential activities on the school yard, reading books in the library...; homeroom teachers closely coordinate with parents to monitor and urge students' learning and discipline.

With the initiative of teachers, the sense of responsibility of students and the attention of parents, the 2025-2026 school year is starting with confidence. Stabilizing discipline, innovating methods, and making efforts to study are the keywords throughout this school year, creating a solid foundation for teachers and students to achieve many new achievements in the journey of educational innovation.
