On August 17, the Hanoi City Youth Union coordinated with Thanh Xuan Prison to organize the program "Lighting up the dreams of reformed youth" in 2024.

The program aims to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024) and the 19th anniversary of the National Defense Day to protect national security (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2024).

At the program, the Hanoi Young Doctors Association participated in general examinations, cardiovascular, respiratory, eye, nutrition, endocrine, musculoskeletal, dermatological, blood pressure measurement, ultrasound, and electrocardiogram for 500 prisoners being reformed at Sub-camp No. 2 - Thanh Xuan Prison.

In particular, the City Youth Union in collaboration with People's Artist Xuan Bac and the Hanoi Young Artists Association organized cultural and artistic exchange activities and performed skits with the aim of helping young prisoners rekindle their faith, orient their future... to feel secure in their rehabilitation and soon return to their families and society.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the City Youth Union - affirmed that through the program, the City Youth Union wishes to support spiritual life, orient the future and light up hope for young people who have made mistakes in the past, demonstrating the social and community responsibility of young people.

According to Mr. Tien, currently thanks to the policies of the Party, the State and Hanoi city, many reformed youths have been supported by the Youth Union to borrow capital, open shops, family economic models and help and orient reformed youths to participate in self-management groups, art troupes in localities and units...
