Promoting Dong Hoi's advantages in promoting and advertising tourism

(Fatherland) - With its wonderful natural beauty and attractive tourist attractions, Dong Hoi is becoming an attractive destination for tourists to experience the blue sea and learn about the unique culture of Quang Binh province.

Dong Hoi is located between National Highway 1A and Ho Chi Minh Road, with Dong Hoi Station being one of the main stations on the North-South railway line, only 500km north of Hanoi , 267km south of Da Nang City and 1,220km south of Ho Chi Minh City.

In particular, Dong Hoi is located near the famous World Natural Heritage Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park more than 40km to the Northwest, close to the Nhat Le River mouth with white sand beaches, resorts and beautiful beaches such as Nhat Le, Bao Ninh and Quang Phu.

In addition, Dong Hoi also has other tourist attractions such as Tam Toa Church Relic, Sun Spa Resort, War Museum in Nghia Ninh commune, many hotels and restaurants serving tourists with local specialties.

In 2024, the number of tourists visiting Dong Hoi will continue to increase, with the total number of visitors to Dong Hoi reaching 1,674 million, up 15.6% over the same period. Tourism products will continue to be focused on quality, diversification and increased experience. Accommodation revenue will reach VND 516.9 billion, up 17.3% over the same period. Food and beverage service revenue will reach VND 2,015.7 billion, up 13.4% over the same period. The number of tourists will reach 45.8 thousand, up 13.9% over the same period. Tourism revenue will reach VND 86.2 billion, up 18% over the same period.

Mr. Hoang Ngoc Dan, Chairman of Dong Hoi City People's Committee, said that from the strengths in tourism, in 2025, Dong Hoi will promote the development of tourism products to attract tourists, promote and advertise the image of Dong Hoi to a large number of people and domestic and international tourists. One of them is promoting on digital platforms through updating information on Vietnamese and English websites, taking advantage of social networking sites such as Facebook, Youtube, Tiktok... to promote tourism products of Quang Binh province in general and Dong Hoi in particular, contributing to meeting the needs of tourists in the fastest, most timely and complete way.
