The Second Mock Session of the “Children's Parliament”

During September 27-29, the delegation representing children and teenagers of Phu Tho province attended the 2nd Children's National Assembly Mock Session in 2024 in Hanoi .

This is the second year that the "Children's National Assembly" mock session has been chaired by the Central Youth Union, in coordination with the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education , and the National Assembly Office, with the participation of 306 outstanding child delegates from 63 provinces and cities across the country.

Phu Tho has three child delegates including: Dang Hai Dang, class 9A1, Song Thao Secondary School, Cam Khe district; Le Thi Tra My, class 8C, Hien Luong Secondary School, Ha Hoa district; Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, class 9C, Son Thuy Secondary School, Thanh Thuy district and 1 delegate in charge of teacher Nguyen Anh Tuan, Head of the Youth Union of Song Thao Secondary School, Cam Khe district.

The Central Youth Union and the Central Council of Young Pioneers presented gifts to representatives of children from the provinces attending the 2nd "Children's National Assembly" mock session in 2024.

The second mock session of the “Children’s National Assembly” took place with many activities such as: Offering incense at the Monument of the Heroes and Martyrs of Bac Son, visiting the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh; meeting the group of young National Assembly delegates, the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union, the Standing Committee of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers; visiting the National Assembly Museum; experiencing the “Quintessence of Confucianism” at the Temple of Literature.

Along with the opening session on September 28, child delegates will participate in discussions at the National Assembly Building with two topics: "Prevention of school violence" and "Prevention of harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, especially in the school environment". On September 29, a question-and-answer session will take place at Dien Hong Hall of the National Assembly Building. The opinions of child delegates will be sent to leaders of ministries, branches and agencies of the National Assembly and the Government.

The mock session of "Children's Parliament" is an activity model that promotes children's right to participate in related issues, suitable to children's psychology and abilities, creating conditions for children to develop their capacity, presentation skills, viewpoints, perceptions...

Thereby, helping children experience and learn about the apparatus of the State and National Assembly, continuing to affirm the attention of Party, State and National Assembly leaders to the work of protecting, caring for and educating children, promoting the role of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
