Que Vo Ward (Bac Ninh): Improving management effectiveness, building a civilized urban area

After being established on the basis of merging four central wards of Que Vo town (old) including: Pho Moi, Viet Hung, Bang An and Que Tan, Que Vo ward quickly caught up and operated stably according to the two-level local government model, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses to develop the economy and attract investment. In particular, the locality attaches importance to maintaining results and continuing to promote urban order management and building a civilized lifestyle.

Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Anh said that, along with ensuring the operation of the government system according to the new model, the ward is also actively implementing urban order management work. In particular, focusing on maintaining the results achieved by previous localities; gradually establishing a new, effective and efficient urban management apparatus. "Right in the first days of July, the ward leaders and functional departments inspected the actual work of dikes, natural disaster prevention and control, land management and construction order. Thereby, the Party Committee and the Ward People's Committee directed the functional departments and offices to immediately get to work, not to be lax, to leave gaps in the areas under their management," added Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh. In particular, the locality is promoting the work of urban order management and beautification to serve the Ward Party Congress. Each individual is required to uphold the sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for work to build and beautify a clean, neat and civilized urban area on the occasion of the Ward Party Congress.

In the first 6 months of the year, in the neighborhoods, the security and order protection forces organized to clear the traffic safety corridor; notified households to voluntarily remove canopies, awnings, advertising signs... that cause loss of urban beauty. Up to now, households in Nghiem Thon and Dinh neighborhoods, Quang Trung and Tran Hung Dao streets... have voluntarily removed items and advertising signs that violate urban order, creating landscapes, open streets and airy sidewalks.

Strengthening urban management and beautification

Towards the Que Vo Ward Party Congress, scheduled to be held in mid-August 2025, the Ward People's Committee has developed a comprehensive urban beautification plan associated with assigning specific tasks to each unit. In particular, focusing on three contents: Ensuring urban order; environmental sanitation and organizing visual propaganda to create a vibrant atmosphere among cadres, party members and people.

With the core role, the Economic - Infrastructure Department and the Cultural - Social Department were assigned by the Ward People's Committee to preside over the inspection of the traffic system, review signs, pick-up and drop-off points, etc. Establish a construction order inspection team, request construction works to comply with permits, and return clean road surfaces. Proactively develop propaganda plans using billboards and banners at important traffic intersections; change the system of agency and neighborhood name signs according to the new administrative names, ensuring regularity and uniformity. The Ward Fatherland Front Committee launched an emulation movement to build "Safe - green, clean, beautiful residential areas", monitoring compliance with urban order, traffic and environment in residential areas.

Mr. Lai Huu Nhan, Head of the Economic - Urban Infrastructure Department, said that the department assigned all 10 members to coordinate with relevant departments and neighborhood leaders to carry out assigned tasks and is determined to complete them in the first days of August. Currently, the professional groups are focusing on organizing meetings and propagating to the people to strictly comply with regulations on construction, environmental sanitation and traffic safety.
