PouchNATION is a pioneer in providing cashless POS, customer management and access control solutions for large-scale events. The company faced many challenges related to latency and errors with traditional camera-based QR code scanning systems, especially in low-light conditions or when tickets were damaged.
These limitations not only affect customer experience but also reduce operational efficiency, especially when handling large numbers of attendees.

To address these challenges, PouchNATION integrated Zebra’s TC72, which is fully compatible with the company’s proprietary NFC solution. This combination optimizes the ticketing process, providing faster processing speeds, greater reliability, and offline capabilities at events. The TC72 implementation significantly improved scanning performance and accuracy, ensuring a more consistent and faster ticketing process that is not affected by lighting conditions or the printing quality of the QR code.
“According to the operations team, scanning times have dropped dramatically from 6 seconds with the old equipment to just 1–1.5 seconds with the Zebra 2D mobile barcode scanner, representing an improvement of up to 83%,” said Koen van Geena, General Manager of PouchNATION.
Unlike camera-based barcode scanning systems, Zebra’s solution is different by maintaining consistent performance even in harsh working conditions. Ruggedly designed and optimized for high-traffic areas, Zebra devices not only improve employee productivity but also help teams manage queues more efficiently, thereby reducing attendee wait times and improving the overall experience.
“Vietnamese businesses are accelerating digital transformation to improve operational efficiency, visibility, and customer satisfaction. The partnership with PouchNATION demonstrates how Zebra’s advanced scanning solution helps frontline teams simplify event management,” said Tran Thi Bao Tran, Country Director of Zebra Technologies Vietnam.
