Prudential Vietnam accompanies the British Government to sponsor scholarships for talented candidates pursuing master's programs

Recently, on April 3, 2025, the signing ceremony of the Chevening scholarship sponsorship agreement between Prudential Vietnam (Prudential) and the British Embassy took place at the British Embassy in Hanoi.

The ceremony was attended by British Ambassador to Vietnam - Mr. Iain Frew, Director of Government Relations and Policy of Prudential Group - Mr. Steven Chan, Deputy General Director of Finance of Prudential - Mr. Conor M O'Neill, and representatives from both sides.

Mr. Iain Frew shared about this activity: "We are very pleased to continue to receive sponsorship from Prudential Vietnam for the Chevening scholarship program. Every year, about 1,500 Chevening scholarships will be awarded worldwide . In Vietnam, in 2024, there were 22 talented people receiving this prestigious scholarship. "

Under the agreement, Prudential will sponsor Chevening scholarships for three consecutive years from 2025 to 2028, with a total funding value of up to 120,000 GBP, equivalent to 4 billion VND. Each year, two scholarships will be awarded to outstanding candidates to support them in studying master's programs at leading universities in the UK.

Representing Prudential Vietnam in signing the sponsorship agreement, Mr. Conor O'Neill - Deputy Chief Financial Officer of Prudential, emphasized: "Sponsoring the Chevening scholarship is part of Prudential's commitment to the sustainable development of the community. We believe that, through supporting education, we can accompany the British Government in bringing learning opportunities to Vietnamese students".

This event not only continues the long-standing cooperative relationship between Prudential Vietnam and the British Embassy but also lays a solid foundation for the commitment of the Company and the Group to accompany the Governments of both sides in future development projects.

Event to introduce candidates to Chevening scholarships

Chevening Scholarships are fully funded master's scholarships in the UK, for candidates with outstanding academic and professional achievements, leadership potential and social contribution. Funded by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCDO) and partner organizations, Chevening Scholarships provide full financial support for candidates to study master's programs at universities in the UK, while also having the opportunity to participate in many unique academic, professional and cultural activities.

In addition to achievement requirements, in Vietnam, the program targets candidates with leadership potential, positive influence on the community, and a commitment to returning to serve the country.
