Covid-19 Vaccine Fund has more than 3,100 billion VND left

(HNMO) - As of 5:00 p.m. on June 15, 2023, the total amount mobilized into the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund was VND 10,806.5 billion; the expenditure was VND 7,672.2 billion.

According to the announcement of the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund Management Board, as of 5:00 p.m. on June 15, the total amount mobilized into the Fund was VND 10,806.5 billion (including interest on bank deposits of VND 176.1 billion). Expenditures from the Fund were VND 7,672.2 billion. Of which, expenditures for purchasing and using vaccines were VND 7,667.6 billion; expenditures for supporting vaccine research and testing were VND 4.6 billion. The Fund balance was VND 3,134.3 billion.

To date, 693,940 organizations and individuals have donated to the Fund.

The Covid-19 Vaccine Fund was launched on June 5, 2021, managed by the Ministry of Finance . The Fund receives grants, support, and voluntary contributions from individuals and organizations at home and abroad in cash, vaccines, and other forms of material.

The Fund uses the mobilized resources to finance and support the purchase and import of vaccines; research and produce vaccines domestically; and use Covid-19 vaccines for people according to the Prime Minister's approval and the proposal of the Ministry of Health (based on the synthesis of needs between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance).
