There will be Tu Du 2 Hospital in Can Gio

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health , representatives of Tu Du Hospital and several other hospitals conducted a survey and worked at Can Gio District Medical Center to carry out steps to establish a second facility of Tu Du Hospital.

The above information was announced by a representative of Tu Du Hospital on March 12. Previously, on March 10, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health sent a dispatch to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to consider and issue a decision on the establishment of a second facility of Tu Du Hospital in Can Gio district following the model of a general hospital, including the following specialties: Internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, emergency resuscitation, anesthesia, dentistry, ear, nose and throat, orthopedics, etc.

According to the implementation of Decision No. 1564/QD-UBND of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the Project "Consolidating, enhancing capacity and developing Can Gio district's healthcare system by 2030, with a vision to 2045", one of the important contents is to re-establish Can Gio District General Hospital to help local people easily access medical examination and treatment services.

Tu Du Hospital's second facility will operate under the general hospital model.

Tu Du Hospital is a leading specialized hospital in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, assigned by the Ministry of Health to direct the line, in charge of the provinces and cities in the Central and Southern regions. The hospital is a public service unit, self-sufficient in regular and investment expenditures according to Decision No. 3502/QD-UBND.

With the capacity to direct the line and transfer technology, Tu Du Hospital is fully qualified to deploy the second facility, meeting the medical examination and treatment needs of Can Gio district residents as well as tourists when the Can Gio international transit port project is deployed.

Tu Du Hospital's second facility will operate under the general hospital model, in which Tu Du Hospital is the investor, taking the main responsibility for implementing medical examination and treatment activities, with the coordination of 8 leading general and specialized hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City. Regarding investment costs, the project will use Tu Du Hospital's autonomous funding source.
