On September 19, in Hanoi, Vietnam Television, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control and VPBank announced the program "Vigilance 247".
Introducing the program, journalist Trinh Quoc Dong, Deputy Head of the Special Topics - Science and Education Department (Vietnam Television) said that high-tech fraud in the fields of finance, banking, etc. is becoming an "invisible epidemic" spreading faster than any virus, causing many people to lose money and even fall into poverty. From that reality, the program "Vigilance 247" was launched, like an information "shield", a social campaign, where the press, banks and police forces join hands to protect the safety of every Vietnamese family.
“A wrong message can cost you money, but a minute of vigilance can save you a fortune. That is the philosophy that “Canh Vien 247” pursues,” journalist Trinh Quoc Dong affirmed.
Regarding the difference with previous legal information programs, according to journalist Trinh Quoc Dong, "Vigilance 247" has a more modern and direct format, exploiting each real "case file", dissecting criminal tricks, analyzing the psychology of victims and, most importantly, transforming dry law into practical life skills.
Not only warning about increasingly sophisticated fraud in the fields of finance - banking, e-commerce, black credit, etc., the program also affirms its mission of accompanying people in a digital society, contributing to protecting economic security and public trust.
Accordingly, the program helps the audience to be alerted by timely information about the latest scams; exposes sophisticated scam tricks of the subjects through explanations and analysis of technology security and psychology experts; guides and equips people with skills to prevent scams, protect themselves and the community.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Cong Hai, Deputy Head of Department 4 (A05) affirmed that the program "Vigilance 247" has practical significance in propaganda work, especially in the context of strong development of digital technology , leading to an increase in many types of crimes with increasingly sophisticated and complex tricks.
The implementation of television programs to equip people with preventive measures and coping skills is extremely important. This is also a key task of the police force, at the same time, we hope to coordinate more closely with VTV to build more warning programs, disseminate timely knowledge to people, help them identify, be vigilant and proactively prevent criminal behavior.
According to the production unit, the program applies the modern investigative report format in the style of "Case Files". Each episode is about 20-25 minutes long, is an independent project, recreating real situations. Bank experts, psychologists and officers of A05 - Ministry of Public Security analyze the tricks, psychology of criminals and victims.
The program has intuitive illustrations, making legal knowledge more familiar and easy to apply; at the same time, it provides a hotline for the audience to provide information and report incidents.
“Vigilance 247” features People’s Artist Trong Trinh as the narrator. With his experience in many films and TV shows on legal and criminal topics and his ability to lead attractively, People’s Artist Trong Trinh hopes to contribute to the success of the program and attract audiences.
In particular, the program has interactions on multiple digital platforms according to the structure before, during and after broadcasting. Each topic is introduced, commented, analyzed and fed with information in a systematic and attractive way on VTV's digital platforms.
