Bom Bo Soc has long been an indomitable symbol of solidarity, patriotism and courage in the resistance war against the US. The image of the Stieng ethnic people pounding rice to feed the army in the middle of the jungle - ready to eat forest tubers to give rice, eat ashes to give salt to the army - has entered history books, poetry and the memories of many generations, at the same time creating the strong vitality of the song "The sound of pestles on Bom Bo Soc" composed by musician Xuan Hong.

According to the Decision, the relic protection area is specifically demarcated; People's Committees at all levels are responsible for managing, protecting and promoting its value according to the Law on Cultural Heritage. This is an important milestone, affirming the historical value of the heroic land, while opening up great opportunities for developing cultural tourism for the locality.

In 2015, phase 1 of the S'tieng ethnic cultural conservation area in Bom Bo was completed and put into operation on an area of 39 hectares (master plan of more than 113 hectares), with a total capital of more than 85 billion VND. The project includes many items such as: traditional long house, reception house, festival yard, school, craft village, traffic system, electricity and water... All aim to recreate the living space, preserve religious customs and cultural identity of S'tieng.

Being ranked as a National Monument is not only a tribute to history, but also a basis for Soc Bom Bo to become a special destination on the tourist map of the Southeast region - where visitors can both learn about the heroic past and experience the unique culture of the Stieng people.
