In his opening speech, the leader of the Provincial Red Cross Society emphasized: First aid plays a particularly important role in saving victims' lives, limiting complications and reducing deaths in emergency situations, especially in the context of natural disasters, epidemics and accidents that tend to increase due to climate change. The sports festival is not only an opportunity to improve volunteers' practical skills but also contributes to spreading the humanitarian spirit, building a safe community, and proactively responding to risks.

Currently, the province has 159 first aid stations established according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health , located in wards and communes. Over the years, these stations have performed well in providing first aid to hundreds of cases of accidents and injuries in the community. Every year, the Provincial Red Cross has supplemented medical equipment for first aid stations, supporting volunteers to improve operational efficiency.

At the sports festival, 50 volunteers from 10 first aid teams across the province performed basic first aid techniques commonly encountered in daily life such as: Handling people with broken bones, bandaging wounds, rescuing drowning people, rescuing traffic accident victims, etc.
The drills were carefully prepared and practiced quickly, demonstrating the bravery, composure and skills of the volunteers. The exciting atmosphere and enthusiastic cheers from the audience motivated the teams to demonstrate their first aid skills.

At the end of the sports festival, the Organizing Committee presented gifts to the participating teams and provided additional first aid equipment to locations in the province, helping volunteers have more conditions to perform their tasks at the grassroots level.
The first aid competition creates conditions for Red Cross volunteers to learn and improve their first aid skills and knowledge to apply in life, contributing to protecting human health, safety and life, affirming the motto "Early first aid determines the life and health of victims".
