Mission to promote the image of Vietnam and its people
Vietnam National Day at EXPO 2025 took place with a series of unique cultural and artistic activities. Speaking here, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long emphasized that EXPO 2025 is a global event of great significance; an opportunity for countries and international organizations around the world to display their achievements, share ideas, initiatives and solutions for socio -economic development. In that spirit, with the theme "Designing the future society for our lives", EXPO 2025 is a meaningful convergence point, a combination of the past, present and future, an important occasion for countries to spread cultural values, advanced scientific and technological achievements; raise common awareness and strengthen cooperation in implementing the United Nations' sustainable development goals as well as building our ideal life model in the future.

With nearly 170 countries and international organizations, as well as about 30 million visitors to EXPO 2025, Vietnam chose the theme "Inclusive society with people at the center", thereby wishing to share proud stories about Vietnam with its heroic history; dynamic, integrated economy; rich, diverse, and unique culture; hardworking, loyal, and hospitable people; an orderly and safe society. All for the prosperous and happy life of the people, "leaving no one behind". This is even more meaningful when this year's Vietnam National Day takes place on the historic September days, when the Vietnamese people solemnly celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The Vietnam Pavilion at EXPO 2025 is a combination of tradition, present and future, with display language and modern technology to spread proud stories about the country and people of Vietnam to international friends with the desire to break through in the new era. The highlight is the way of telling stories through artistic language, from traditional costumes, traditional music to modern projection technology, conveying the humanistic spirit, unique cultural values and the beauty of the soul of the Vietnamese people. At the space to experience making to he, artisan Dang Dinh Thuong with his skillful hands with colorful boxes of powder attracted the curious and interested eyes of international visitors. Not only demonstrating the technique of making to he, the artisan also directly guided international visitors to try their hand at traditional handicrafts. Small bamboo sticks and handfuls of colored powder, seemingly simple, become the shapes of animals and folk characters through the talented hands of artisans, making many foreign visitors admire. Artisan Dang Dinh Thuong shared: "For me, each to he product carries a part of the Vietnamese soul. Bringing it to international friends helps them understand more about the sophistication and enduring vitality of Vietnamese culture."
Along with the exhibition booths, art performances such as water puppetry, traditional music... every day (4 shows/day) also attract visitors to visit and enjoy. In addition, Vietnamese artists and artisans along with artists from many other countries such as Saudi Arabia, the US, Malaysia, Portugal, Thailand... perform on outdoor stages in the EXPO 2025 campus. According to People's Artist Tran Ly Ly, General Director of the art program, with the participation of many leading art units and artists, 7 art programs will be presented. The series of programs is built on the spirit of honoring national cultural identity combined with modern elements, to create a whole that is both close, profound and rich in integration. “EXPO 2025 in Osaka is a global event where countries come together to introduce their unique national values. With Vietnam National Day, we consider this a valuable opportunity to spread the beauty of Vietnamese culture to international friends,” said People’s Artist Tran Ly Ly.
Affirming the strength of Vietnamese culture in the global flow
Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Deputy General Representative of Vietnam at EXPO 2025, said that after 4 months of opening, up to now, the Vietnam Exhibition House has welcomed about 1 million visitors, and is considered one of the favorite destinations. Communication work on the activities and events of the Vietnam Exhibition House has been focused on in the domestic and foreign press. The image of the Vietnam Exhibition House is constantly mentioned on social networks such as: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok... Many Japanese KOLs have come to film and introduce the Exhibition House such as Japanese YouTuber Issei (with nearly 70 million subscribers)... In the coming time, the Vietnam Exhibition House will continue to organize cultural and artistic activities expressing the quintessence and national cultural identity, thereby introducing the image of Vietnam as a peaceful country, innovative, dynamically developing and deeply integrated internationally.
Many international visitors expressed their excitement when visiting the Vietnam Exhibition Hall. Right in the heart of Japan, they can still enjoy and admire the unique cultural features imbued with Vietnamese spirit. Mr. Kim Joon Ho (40 years old, a tourist from Korea) said that what impressed him most was the open spirit and the ability to connect that the Vietnam Exhibition Hall brought: “I clearly feel the intersection between tradition and modernity in every detail of the display. What is special is that everything is arranged in a harmonious and cohesive way, helping viewers feel Vietnam as a seamless story from the past to the present and the future. I believe that through this approach, Vietnam has sent a strong message of creativity and integration, while inspiring visitors like me to want to learn more about the country and its people.”

When there are conditions to get to know each other, cooperation between Vietnam and its partners will be more favorable. The presence of Vietnamese art at this global event is not only representative but also affirms the position of a dynamic, integrated Vietnam that is still determined to preserve and promote traditional cultural values,” Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang shared.
