Temporarily suspending traffic for people and vehicles crossing Cua Hoi Bridge

The Department of Construction of Ha Tinh province has just issued document No. 4340/TB-SXD announcing the temporary suspension of traffic on the Cua Hoi bridge project.

Accordingly, to ensure the safety of people and vehicles passing on the Cua Hoi bridge project across Lam river, connecting Ha Tinh province and Nghe An province, the Department of Construction of Ha Tinh province announced the application of measures to respond to incidents and natural disasters on the Cua Hoi bridge project due to the impact of storm No. 5 - Kajiki.

Temporarily suspend traffic for people and all vehicles crossing Cua Hoi Bridge, except for priority vehicles and vehicles serving incident and disaster response from 6:00 a.m. on August 25, 2025 until safety conditions for crossing the bridge are ensured according to regulations.

Assign Joint Stock Company 487 - the unit that manages and regularly maintains Cua Hoi Bridge to organize the implementation of barriers, arrange warning and 24/7 vigilance to ensure safety, comply with current regulations; organize warning and remote traffic flow (at intersections at both ends of the project); absolutely do not allow people and vehicles to cross the bridge in dangerous weather conditions.

Cua Hoi Bridge crosses the Lam River, connecting Cua Lo Ward, Nghe An Province and Dan Hai Commune, Ha Tinh Province. The bridge is 1,728m long, with the main bridge consisting of 3 spans with 2 lotus-shaped cable-stayed towers. The main bridge is 18.5m wide and the approach bridge is 16m wide.

The project has a total investment of 950 billion VND, from government bonds and local budgets of the two provinces. The bridge started construction on February 15, 2019 and opened to traffic on March 14, 2021.
