Tay Ninh attracts investment in high-tech agriculture

On June 2, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province coordinated with the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (Eurocham) to organize a forum connecting businesses to invest and develop the high-tech agricultural ecosystem in Tay Ninh province in 2023.

For the first time, an international forum to attract investment in the high-tech agricultural sector was held in Tay Ninh with the participation of many large enterprises.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, said that the forum is an important event to promote the local potential in attracting investment and developing fields, especially high-tech agriculture. Thereby, creating conditions for domestic and foreign organizations to share information and experiences, thereby proposing solutions for agricultural development, connecting domestic and foreign enterprises to explore , learn and implement investment ideas in Tay Ninh.

Speaking at the forum, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that Tay Ninh's unique natural conditions are very favorable for the development of agricultural economy and a number of industries. However, to promote efficiency, Tay Ninh needs to implement synchronous solutions.

Eurocham explores high-tech agricultural investment

"Tay Ninh must promote restructuring of the agricultural sector, improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of production and business of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products. Reorganize specialized production areas, associated with geographical indications, traceability, and build codes for growing and farming areas. The tasks set for Tay Ninh in the coming time require great efforts and determination from the entire political system, along with the effective exploitation and use of the province's resources, especially investment resources from the private economic sector and FDI...", Mr. Tien said.

At the forum, representatives of many businesses expressed their interest and desire to learn about the investment environment in Tay Ninh.

Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee has signed many memorandums of understanding on cooperation with units and enterprises on investment projects in the field of high-tech agriculture.
