Thai Nguyen: Breakthrough with many top targets, determined to complete the 2025 target

According to the report at the 6th Conference of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, 9 months of 2025, Thai Nguyen continues to maintain strong growth momentum, with many socio-economic indicators among the top in the country; demonstrating the great efforts of the entire political system and people.

On the morning of September 12, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, chaired the 6th Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference, term 2020-2025. The conference focused on disseminating new documents of the Central Committee and discussing many important contents on the implementation of political tasks in the first 9 months, directions for the fourth quarter of 2025, and the preparation of documents for the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

According to the assessment at the Conference, in the first 9 months of 2025, under the leadership and concentrated direction of Party committees and organizations at all levels, the drastic management of authorities at all levels, along with the high determination of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, Thai Nguyen's economy continued to maintain stable growth.

In addition, the work of building the Party and the political system has made much progress. Political security, order and social safety are guaranteed. Attention is paid to the fields of social security, health, education , culture, physical training and sports, contributing to promoting socio-economic development.

Notable indicators in the first 9 months of 2025 include: The index of industrial production (IIP) is estimated to increase by 8.81% over the same period. The export value of goods is estimated at 21 billion USD, up 4.3% over the same period. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue is estimated at 69.16 trillion VND, up 17.2% over the same period. Total state budget revenue is 16,324 billion VND, equal to 70.4% of the Prime Minister's estimate and 66% of the Provincial People's Council's estimate. Regarding Party building work, the whole province has admitted 1,427 new party members, bringing the total number of party members to 140,009; awarded and posthumously awarded Party badges to 4,941 party members.

Delegates attending the Conference acknowledged the achievements and emphasized that the tasks in the last months of the year are still very heavy. Delegates suggested that sectors and localities need to focus on promoting the disbursement of public investment capital, strengthening budget collection, and handling public assets in accordance with regulations. In addition, it is necessary to increase the arrangement of cadres and civil servants at the commune level to effectively perform tasks from the grassroots level.

Concluding the Conference, Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung said that after more than 2 months of merging the province and implementing the 2-level local government, Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee has organized 21 Standing Committee Conferences, 9 Standing Committee Conferences, 6 Provincial Party Executive Committee Conferences. The Provincial People's Council has also organized 5 sessions to resolve many important and urgent tasks. With the attention, direction and timely guidance of the Central Government, Thai Nguyen has basically fulfilled its tasks well after the merger, many targets and tasks have achieved results in the top of the country.

However, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung also frankly pointed out that some socio-economic indicators are still low. The tasks in the last months of 2025 are still very heavy, requiring great efforts and determination of the entire political system, especially the responsibility of the leaders. Mr. Trinh Viet Hung requested: "Party Secretaries, heads of Party organizations, and authorities at all levels must be primarily and fully responsible to the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the results of budget collection, disbursement of public investment capital and direction of implementation of political tasks in the locality. Members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee assigned to be in charge of the locality must closely follow the reality and develop a specific work program to ensure the completion of socio-economic development targets in the last 3 months of the year".

Regarding key projects, the Provincial Party Secretary noted that the Provincial Party Committee directed the Provincial People's Committee to carefully review the Project to support investment in developing transport infrastructure in communes in difficult areas, and arrange the list in order of priority. Northern communes need to focus on reviewing transport infrastructure, promoting propaganda, mobilizing people to donate land, and expanding roads according to the motto "The State and the People work together". Regarding the preparation work for the 1st Provincial Party Congress, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung requested agencies, units and sub-committees to urgently, thoughtfully and scientifically complete documents and preparations for the Congress, ensuring quality and progress. New documents of the Central Committee disseminated at the Conference also need to be absorbed, studied and seriously implemented to each Party organization and Party member, so that they can soon be put into practice and bring about practical results.

Previously, at the 9th Provincial Party Standing Committee Conference, term 2020-2025, held on the same day, September 12, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung chaired the discussion and gave opinions on the contents of socio-economic development, Party building and political system, and preparations for the 1st Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030. The Document Subcommittee said that the draft Political Report and draft Resolution of the Congress have been revised and supplemented with key targets for the term 2025-2030 to ensure they are correct and sufficient according to the Central's guidance, closely following the practical situation of the province.
