Gold market in Ha Tinh is bustling on God of Wealth day

Entering the God of Wealth's day (January 10), gold buying activities of Ha Tinh people are bustling. Gold and silver shops continuously welcome customers to come and shop.

For a long time, buying gold on the day of the God of Wealth has become a habit of many people with the hope of a new year of wealth, luck and peace. Early in the morning of January 10, gold and silver shops were crowded with people coming to buy and sell. Some famous gold and silver shops such as Phuong Xuan, Ngoc Ha, Viet Ha, Mai Xuan, PNJ... had a continuous flow of customers coming in and out. To serve customers, many shops opened earlier than usual.

Inside, customers were standing at the counters. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - owner of Viet Ha gold shop (Nguyen Cong Tru street, Ha Tinh city) said: " Today, we opened at 4am but from 1am customers called and came to buy, while on normal days we open at 7am. The number of customers coming to buy increased many times compared to normal days, the "best-selling" product is round rings.

Grasping market demand, gold and silver businesses have prepared goods with diverse designs and models, suitable for trends.

At the same time, stores also increase staff to advise and give samples to customers, reducing waiting time for customers, especially during peak hours.

According to jewelry store owners, purchasing power began to increase a few days ago and January 10 was the peak. To get the products they wanted, many customers ordered samples in advance and waited until the 10th to “welcome the God of Wealth”, avoiding waiting in crowds.

Most customers buy jewelry, round rings, gold rings, gold bars shaped like God of Wealth, gold bars shaped like dragons with common denominations of 1-2 taels to pray for luck in the new year. In addition, there are also customers who buy even a tael of gold for investment.

According to records, the price of 9999 gold listed at stores on the morning of February 19 was 6,500,000 taels/VND for selling and 6,400,000 taels/VND for buying. This price decreased by 10 - 30,000 VND compared to the previous days.

According to many customers, the price is currently high, however, those who buy gold on God of Fortune Day only hope to buy gold for luck and do not pay much attention to the price.

Ms. Hoang Thi Quy (Dong Loc town, Can Loc) shared: " I do fashion business so it has become a tradition that every year on God of Wealth day, I buy 1 tael of gold with the hope of bringing luck to my family. Although the current gold price is quite high, I still buy 1 tael so the difference is not much.

To show gratitude to customers and create a happy atmosphere in the first days of the new year, many gold and silver shops give lucky money to customers on God of Wealth day.
