The Prime Minister appointed the Chairman and 6 Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (new)

The Prime Minister appointed comrade Nguyen Van Duoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (new) for the 2020-2025 term, to hold the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (new) for the 2021-2026 term.

On the morning of June 30, the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to announce the resolutions and decisions of the Central and local governments on the arrangement of provincial and commune-level administrative units, ending the operation of district-level administrative units, establishing party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Ho Chi Minh City, communes, wards, and special zones.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: General Secretary To Lam; Nguyen Minh Triet, former Politburo member, former President; Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Thien Nhan, former Politburo member, former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Also attending the announcement ceremony were Party Central Committee members, former Party Central Committee members; leaders, former leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong province, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province; Secretaries of affiliated Party Committees and Secretaries of Party Committees of communes, wards, and special zones...

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Quang Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, on behalf of the Central Working Group, announced the resolutions and decisions of the Central Committee on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units, establishment of Party organizations, appointment of Party Committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Ho Chi Minh City.

Including decisions of the Prime Minister on appointing personnel to hold the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (new) for the 2021-2026 term.

Accordingly, the Prime Minister appointed comrade Nguyen Van Duoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (new) for the 2020-2025 term, to hold the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (new) for the 2021-2026 term. The decision takes effect from July 1.
