On September 18, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decisions on appointment and reappointment of leadership positions of a number of units under the Ministry of National Defense and Vietnam News Agency.
Specifically, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 2086/QD-TTg to reappoint Vice Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, to the position of Commander of the Navy. This decision takes effect from September 11, 2025.
In Decision No. 2089/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Major General Le Dinh Cuong, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Vietnam Coast Guard, to hold the position of Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard. This decision takes effect from September 18, 2025.
The Prime Minister issued Decision No. 2088/QD-TTg reappointing Major General Ha Tat Dat to the position of Deputy Commander of Military Region 3. This Decision takes effect from September 11, 2025.
The Prime Minister issued Decision No. 2087/QD-TTg reappointing Mr. Nguyen Tuan Hung to the position of Deputy General Director of Vietnam News Agency. This Decision takes effect from September 17, 2025./.
