Promoting growth associated with improving people's lives

In the context of a volatile world situation, with more challenges than opportunities, in the first months of 2025, our country's socio-economy still achieved many positive results.

According to the Government's assessment, the macro economy is basically stable, inflation is controlled, growth is promoted, major balances of the economy are ensured, the labor market is stable, public debt and budget deficit are controlled within limits, and the material and spiritual life of the people is improved.

However, to achieve the GDP growth target of 8% or more in 2025 to create momentum for double-digit growth in the period 2026 - 2030, the amount of work to be done from now until the end of the year is not small. That requires the efforts, determination, drasticness, and responsibility of the entire political system.

In a recent telegram, the Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to coordinate closely to effectively implement the tasks and solutions assigned by the Central Government. In particular, there should be drastic solutions to promote the disbursement of public investment capital, ensuring 100% disbursement of the capital plan in 2025. Continue to implement tax exemption and reduction policies, promote production and business, create livelihoods for people. Strengthen the connection between supply and demand, expand export markets. Promote the development of science , technology, innovation, digital transformation to restructure the economy and strongly innovate the growth model, develop green economy, digital economy, circular economy...

But the Government leaders have repeatedly affirmed that we do not accept the method of economic growth at all costs. High growth must be sustainable, macroeconomic stability must be maintained, inflation must be controlled, progress, fairness, social security must be ensured, and environmental protection must be protected. In the above telegram, the Prime Minister once again affirmed: "Thoroughly implementing the motto of stability for development, development for stability, rapid and sustainable development closely linked with continuing to improve the spiritual and material life of the people."

In Lam Dong, the motto of economic development associated with ensuring social security and improving people's lives is concretized through many programs and policies. Notably, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is noteworthy. By August 31, Lam Dong province had completed 5,691 houses, reaching 100% of the plan. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Lam Dong held on September 19, Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam affirmed: "We have completed the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, which is an important part of social policy. But the core is still to continue to promote production, business, create jobs, livelihoods, and constantly improve the quality of life and material and spiritual life for the province's ethnic groups".

Promoting economic growth in conjunction with improving people's lives is a consistent policy of the Party, State and Government, concretized by many programs, policies and actions. This is also a profound humanistic value, creating consensus and a solid foundation for us to overcome challenges and be confident in the new development stage.
