Promoting the youth in the movement of self-employment and career building, in recent years, the Youth Union members in the province have implemented many economic models with high efficiency. From there, not only helping the youth get rich in their homeland, but also promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.

Thanh Phat Macadamia Cooperative, Van Hoa village, Cat Van commune harvests products from macadamia trees.

At the end of the year, we visited the fruit garden of Mr. Hoang Huu Quyet's family, Thanh Xa 2 sub-area, Ha Linh town (Ha Trung) right when his family was harvesting Dien grapefruit. Mr. Quyet said: "Realizing that growing fruit trees combined with raising livestock brings high efficiency, for many years now my family has renovated an area of ​​8 hectares to grow fruit trees such as oranges, Dien grapefruit, jackfruit, apples... and raise pigs and chickens. In the process of developing this economic model, I have consulted how to plant and care for trees in books, newspapers, social networks and participated in training courses organized by Ha Trung District Youth Union; visited effective farm models in and outside the province. In addition, I also installed a drip irrigation system using Israeli technology, helping plants absorb nutrients from fertilizers well, providing water to the roots, avoiding wasting water during the production process. Thanks to that, the crops have higher productivity and quality, and the fruits after harvest are purchased by traders at the garden. It is estimated that each year the model brings in about 1 billion VND in revenue."

Thanh Phat Macadamia Cooperative, Van Hoa village, Cat Van commune (Nhu Xuan), with Ms. Pham Thi Thu as deputy director, is currently operating quite effectively. Ms. Thu said: "After the research process, I realized that macadamia is an easy-to-grow tree, suitable for the land and climate, along with the investment costs and care costs are not much, so I discussed with my family to rent land to grow macadamia trees. In 2014, I imported seeds for experimental planting. After a while, seeing that the macadamia trees grew and developed well, I started to expand the area and established Thanh Phat Macadamia Cooperative. Up to now, the Cooperative has attracted 18 members to participate and has expanded the macadamia growing area to 51 hectares".

To promote products to a wide range of customers, Thanh Phat Cooperative has actively posted products on social networking sites such as Zalo, Facebook and participated in markets and exhibitions in and outside the province. In 2023, Thanh Phat Macadamia products achieved 3-star OCOP, thanks to which customers also know and trust in choosing.

In recent years, in order for the youth union members in the district to develop the economy and get rich on their homeland, Nhu Xuan District Youth Union has accompanied the youth in starting a business and establishing a career. In 2024, the District Youth Union coordinated with the Provincial Center for Career Guidance, Vocational Training and Youth Employment Introduction to organize a career counseling program, job introduction and recruitment for 1,000 students of Nhu Xuan Secondary and High Schools; more than 300 youth union members participated in job orientation activities organized by the People's Committee of Nhu Xuan District. In addition, the work of reviewing the need for loans for economic development and start-ups among cadres and youth union members has been directed with attention. In 2024, Nhu Xuan District Youth Union coordinated with the District Social Policy Bank to disburse loans to 5 young people from provincial start-up capital with a total amount of over 400 million VND, effectively managing entrusted loans from the Policy Bank with a total outstanding debt of over 79,907 billion VND, an increase of nearly 1.5 billion VND compared to 2023. Thanks to that, up to now, many effective economic models led by young people have appeared in the district.

Recently, in the province, there have been more and more effective economic development models led by young people. Typical examples include: Mr. Duong Ngoc Truong, General Director of Befine Joint Stock Company (Thach Thanh); Le Minh Cuong, Director of Spico Company Limited, Ham Rong Ward ( Thanh Hoa City); Ms. Nguyen Le Ngoc Linh, Director of Tho Forest Garden Cooperative, Hoa Quy Commune (Nhu Xuan)...

To promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and career establishment among young people, Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union has increased support and connection with agencies and units to implement support policies, creating conditions for young people to develop economic models suitable to local conditions; organize training courses on digital transformation; start-up consulting days for young people. Along with that, the Provincial Youth Union has directed grassroots unions at all levels to implement the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) Program; encourage young people in the province to compete in proposing initiatives, technical improvements, applying scientific and technical advances, new technological processes in production, creating many new products with quality and economic efficiency.
