Standing Committee of Muong Ang District Party Committee inspected some households at risk of landslides in Lich Nua village, Nam Lich commune.

The delegation inspected some households at risk of landslides in Lich Nua village; the progress of building Great Solidarity houses for poor households in the commune; and inspected the field of the road project from Nam Lich - Pa Khom - Muong Lan commune center.

Working in Nam Lich commune, the working delegation listened to the commune leaders report on the implementation of tasks in the first 8 months of 2023, the progress of building Great Unity houses for poor households in the commune. Accordingly, in the first 8 months of 2023, the Party Committee of Nam Lich commune has focused on leading and directing the implementation of socio-economic development tasks and achieved many important results; the work of Party building, consolidating the political , cultural and social systems has been well directed by the Party Committee; the political security situation, social order and safety have been maintained stably... Regarding the progress of building Great Unity houses, on the basis of review, appraisal, and meeting, Nam Lich commune has 55 poor households supported to build houses. Up to now, 25 households are building houses.

For the Nam Lich - Pa Khom - Muong Lan commune center road project, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province assigned the People's Committee of Muong Ang district as the investor in Decision No. 2319/QD-UBND dated December 22, 2022 with a total investment of over 54 billion VND, using the capital source to implement Sub-project 2, Project 1 of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021 - 2025; the road is part of the district road DHMA05 according to the planning of transport development of Dien Bien province for the period 2011 - 2020 and orientation to 2030 according to Decision No. 44/QD-UBND dated December 4, 2012, planned as a Vimn-level road, with a total project investment of over 54 billion VND; Muong Ang District People's Committee proposed to only invest in the project with the construction scale of completing the roadbed and drainage works across the total length of the Nam Lich - Pa Khom section of 9.5km.

Concluding the working session, Comrade Nguyen Tien Dat, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council, emphasized a number of key tasks that the Party Committee of Nam Lich commune needs to carry out in the coming time: Focus on propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to the people; pay attention to the work of Party building, building the political system; focus on prioritizing economic development in a direction suitable to the commune's conditions; effectively implement and manage the use of support resources for the National Target Program, ensuring disbursement progress; The Party Committee of the commune urgently coordinates with the district's specialized agencies to survey the planning location of the resettlement area for the people; for households at risk of landslides in Lich Nua village, urgently find new locations to relocate their houses to a safe place; review households supported to build Great Unity houses to ensure they are built in safe and stable locations; For the project: Nam Lich - Pa Khom - Muong Lan commune center road, continue to survey and adjust accordingly, do not encroach on forest land, prioritize investment in opening routes, build embankments and horizontal and vertical drainage ditches at steep road locations...
