Lesson 1: Proud of being an eighteen-year-old party member

With the attention to nurturing excellent students of grade 12, many high school party cells have created a source of quality young party members for the Party. For party members aged 18, this is a source of pride and honor when growing up from school.

Outstanding faces

Coming from farming families, these outstanding students of Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Tien Phuoc district) were admitted to the Party ranks after finishing grade 12 in the 2023-2024 school year.

The 18-year-old Party members admitted in the last school year of Huynh Thuc Khang High School Party Cell are Vo Tang Bich Nho (Tien Loc commune), Huynh Thi Mai Ly (Tien Ky town), Tran Van Hop (Tien My commune), all born in 2006. Notably, all three of these new Party members are the first in their families to join the Party.

When they realized the position of today's youth generation and with the consent of their families, all three of them strived and trained to achieve their ideals. After being admitted to the Party, all three probationary Party members of Huynh Thuc Khang High School Party Cell were admitted to universities as they wished.

Party member Vo Tang Bich Nho shared: “In my family, I am the first person to join the Party. I wanted to join the Party and trained myself to be worthy of that ideal.

During my time at school, I participated in many activities of the Union and the school, so I gradually realized that I needed to do something while I was young.

Being able to join the Party at the age of 18, I still have to practice more to be worthy of the trust, education and training of teachers at Huynh Thuc Khang High School. I am currently a university student and will continue to strive and practice to become more mature.

Party member Huynh Thi Mai Ly expressed her joy when her dream of studying law came true. Mai Ly entered university with the ambition of becoming a lawyer.

Mai Ly said: “In my family, my grandfather participated in the revolution, so he often talked about the ideal of protecting the homeland and the revolutionary spirit for national independence of his fathers and brothers. When I expressed my wish to join the Party, my parents supported me. I will continue to strive to train to be officially admitted to the Party in a university environment.”

Training worthy of the Party's trust

At the Party Cell of Luong The Vinh High School (Dien Ban town), attention is paid to developing party members among students. In the 2023-2024 school year, the school's Party Cell has trained and developed the Party for outstanding individuals.

Admitted to the Party while still in grade 12, party member Phan Thi Hong (born 2006, Dien Nam Dong ward) trained herself with her own aspirations.

Hong's father works in the tourism service sector, her mother is a laborer in Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc Industrial Park, she is active in many school and class activities. With the dream of becoming a teacher, Hong was determined to pass the entrance exam to the university of education.

Phan Thi Hong shared: “My grandfather was a war invalid, I often heard him tell stories about fighting and sacrificing to protect the Fatherland during the resistance war. Listening to those stories, I always had an indescribable pride in my fathers' generation and the desire to continue to build and protect my homeland.

I registered for the university entrance exam and am now a first-year student, entering the school with the mindset of a probationary party member. I hope that the university environment will help me mature, become more confident, and be better trained. As a party member, I am always aware of being a role model in class, faculty, and school activities to officially join the Party in mid-2025."

For Dang Thi Kieu Vy (born 2006, Dien Ngoc ward, Dien Ban town), because she studied history in depth, she loves and is proud of her country's history.

Vy said that no one in her family is a party member. However, it was through her experiences participating in activities to learn about the Party's history and activities to return to the source organized by the school and the Youth Union that Vy aspired to join the Party to become more mature.

Vy confided: “When I shared my ideals with my parents, I received great support. I still strive every day during my probationary period, to officially join the Party in May 2025.”

Focus on fostering Party sentiment

Mr. Cai Van Hung - Party Cell Secretary, School Principal said: "When students are in grade 11, through the training process of the school's Youth Union, we will grasp the aspirations of each student, thereby orienting them. Orientation to the Party is a choice that follows each person for the rest of their life. Joining the Party is to contribute to the development of the homeland and the country, so the awareness and choice of each individual cannot be a temporary choice."

In the 2023-2024 school year, Huynh Thuc Khang High School Party Cell admitted 3 students to the Party. Also in the 2023-2024 school year, the school Party Cell oriented and trained 11 grade 11 students, so that in the 2024-2025 school year, it would organize Party admission for qualified students. The school's Youth Union is assigned the task of accompanying and supporting students in their studies, from the time they enter the high school environment.

The elite will be trained, and when they reach grade 11, they will be counseled, educated, gradually oriented, and nurtured in political theory. When they enter grade 12, when they turn 18, they will be admitted to the Party, and will continue to be trained in a higher, broader environment.

For the Party Cell of Luong The Vinh High School (Dien Ban town), to effectively develop party members among students, the school has included it in the party member development plan in 2024. Mr. Le Van Ngat -

The Party Cell Secretary and Principal of Luong The Vinh High School said: “The Party Cell assigns specific tasks to the Youth Union in implementing the 2024 Party member development plan to all the Party Cell Secretaries of the classes. The school Party Cell reviews and makes a list of outstanding people, sends them to participate in political theory training classes, and submits it to the Dien Ban City Party Committee's Organizing Committee to decide to summon them to participate in the Party sympathy class. With this approach, the school Party Cell has selected, trained and admitted outstanding people to the Party ranks.”

From 2020 to now, Quang Nam has admitted 320 students and 41 university students to the Party, accounting for 4.6% of the total number of new Party members developed during this period. In particular, the number of new Party members who are students has tended to increase over the years: in 2020, there were 25 students; in 2021, there were 41 students; in 2022, there were 45 students; in 2023, there were 56 students and in the first 6 months of 2024, there were 153 students).
