Stop using plastic bags at the market: Decisive action from buyers
Despite causing many environmental consequences, plastic bags are still present everywhere in daily life, especially in flea markets and traditional markets. Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen - a trader at Nguyen Thi Thap market (Nhan Chinh ward) said that in one market session she uses about 2-3kg of various types of plastic bags.
Regarding consumer opinions, Ms. Nguyen Anh Thu (in Chinh Kinh street, Khuong Dinh ward) shared that she has long understood the harmful effects of disposable products made from plastic. However, the habit of using plastic bags when going to the market still cannot be changed.
According to statistics, Vietnam releases about 1.8 million tons of plastic waste each year. In Hanoi alone, the figure is up to 1,427 tons/day, of which more than 60% are plastic bags and disposable plastic products. If buyers change their habits, it is entirely possible for the city to completely ban plastic bags, foam boxes, and disposable plastic from January 1, 2028.

Phu Dong commune was established on the basis of arranging administrative units including the entire population of Yen Vien town, the communes: Yen Vien, Yen Thuong, Ninh Hiep, Phu Dong, Thien Duc and a part of the natural area of Co Bi and Dang Xa communes. All communes before the merger were recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards.
Party Secretary, Chairman of Phu Dong Commune People's Council Dang Thi Huyen informed that Phu Dong has a long history and cultural tradition, with 101 historical and cultural relics, 4 revolutionary resistance relics. Among them, there is 1 special national relic site of Phu Dong Temple, 19 national relics, 30 city-level relics.

Resettlement building 5A, 7A Le Duc Tho street: Consider changing the function of kiosks
The resettlement apartment building at No. 5A, 7A Le Duc Tho Street (Tu Liem Ward) belongs to the Southwest University of Commerce Apartment Project, built with the purpose of resettling households in the area of land clearance in the districts of Cau Giay, Ba Dinh, Dong Da (old) and Nguyen Van Huyen Street extension, put into operation since 2016 with many amenities.
However, in reality, at the commercial service area on the 2nd floor of apartment buildings 5A and 7A Le Duc Tho street, Hanoi Moi Newspaper reporters noticed that all the stores were closed.
Regarding the state of degraded and abandoned kiosks at apartment buildings No. 5A and 7A Le Duc Tho Street, according to the Hanoi Department of Construction, since the Covid-19 pandemic, business has been ineffective, so the shops here have no tenants.
In the coming time, for service business areas with ineffective and unattractive investment locations such as the two buildings 5A and 7A on Le Duc Tho street, the Department of Construction proposes to allow this unit to review and report to the City People's Committee to consider changing the usage function (if necessary).
