Son Tay Ward is the center of Xu Doai, an ancient land containing many historical and cultural values. In particular, Duong Lam ancient village is considered the "nucleus" with a massive system of national relics, such as: Va Temple (worshiping Saint Tan Vien), Mia Pagoda, Phu Sa Communal House, Phung Hung Temple, Ngo Quyen Tomb...

According to the Hanoi Office of the New Rural Development Program, village culture creates many beautiful traditional features of the Vietnamese people. These are “village sentiment”, “helping each other in times of need”, creating community cohesion and solidarity.

Hanoi is aiming to build an advanced new rural area, a model new rural area, in which culture is an important criterion. The consistent goal of Hanoi city is to build a modern, civilized new rural area while still preserving cultural identity and traditional values.

Despite causing many environmental consequences, plastic bags are still present everywhere in daily life, especially in flea markets and traditional markets. Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen - a trader at Nguyen Thi Thap market (Nhan Chinh ward) said that in one market session she uses about 2-3kg of various types of plastic bags.

Regarding consumer opinions, Ms. Nguyen Anh Thu (in Chinh Kinh street, Khuong Dinh ward) shared that she has long understood the harmful effects of disposable products made from plastic. However, the habit of using plastic bags when going to the market still cannot be changed.

According to statistics, Vietnam releases about 1.8 million tons of plastic waste each year. In Hanoi alone, the figure is up to 1,427 tons/day, of which more than 60% are plastic bags and disposable plastic products. If buyers change their habits, it is entirely possible for the city to completely ban plastic bags, foam boxes, and disposable plastic from January 1, 2028.

The summer camp "Eager Village" (held in Thai Nguyen province) was accused of having poor sanitary conditions, unlike the advertisement.

In recent years, summer camps have appeared more and more, especially in big cities, including Hanoi.

Many parents have fallen into the ironic situation of registering their children to participate in unprofessional summer camps. Ms. Le Thi Lan (in Hoang Mai ward) recounted: “Last year, I registered my child to participate in a summer camp lasting nearly 15 days at a private school. The advertising program was very grand, promising to teach soft skills, teamwork, life skills... but the reality was far from it.”

After returning from a summer camp, Nguyen Van Trung (in Xuan Dinh ward) shared: “My room was very dirty, the bath water was not clean. After only 3 days, my whole body was itchy. My friend was also injured in a fight that no one dealt with...”.

In the early days of July, the noise surrounding the "Eager Village" summer camp (held in Thai Nguyen province) became a "hot" topic on social networks.

The entrance to the rental kiosk area at the resettlement apartment building at 5A, 7A Le Duc Tho street (Tu Liem ward) has been sealed.

The resettlement apartment building at No. 5A, 7A Le Duc Tho Street (Tu Liem Ward) belongs to the Southwest University of Commerce Apartment Project, built with the purpose of resettling households in the area of land clearance in the districts of Cau Giay, Ba Dinh, Dong Da (old) and Nguyen Van Huyen Street extension, put into operation since 2016 with many amenities.

However, in reality, at the commercial service area on the 2nd floor of apartment buildings 5A and 7A Le Duc Tho street, Hanoi Moi Newspaper reporters noticed that all the stores were closed.

Regarding the state of degraded and abandoned kiosks at apartment buildings No. 5A and 7A Le Duc Tho Street, according to the Hanoi Department of Construction, since the Covid-19 pandemic, business has been ineffective, so the shops here have no tenants.

In the coming time, for service business areas with ineffective and unattractive investment locations such as the two buildings 5A and 7A on Le Duc Tho street, the Department of Construction proposes to allow this unit to review and report to the City People's Committee to consider changing the usage function (if necessary).
