Winning all 3 matches, Vietnam Futsal team enters 2026 Asian Finals

VHO - Continuing to show impressive performance, the Vietnam Futsal team defeated the Lebanon Futsal team with a score of 4-0 in the final match of Group E to win the right to enter the Final Round (Finals) of the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship.

After two wins, 9-1 against Hong Kong (China) and 7-2 against China, the Vietnamese team only needed a draw with Lebanon to win the group and advance. However, coach Diego Giustozzi's students did even better.

The Vietnamese team (red shirts) played exceptionally well and led by 3 goals in the first half.

The Vietnamese team increased the speed right after the opening whistle, creating continuous pressure, making it difficult for the opponent as physical strength is not Lebanon's strong point.

Right from the first minutes, goalkeeper Karim Joeuidi had to show his talent to continuously save shots from Minh Quang and Gia Hung.

However, the great pressure from the red team quickly forced Lebanon to make a mistake. In the 9th minute, Manh Dung successfully intercepted the ball and assisted Da Hai to open the score.

Less than a minute later, Cong Vien passed the ball back to Manh Dung, who fired a low shot to increase the score to 2-0.

The excitement continued to be maintained when, in the 10th minute, Ngoc Anh took the ball from the opponent's feet and then assisted Minh Quang to score, helping the Vietnamese team lead 3-0.

Despite missing some opportunities at the end of the first half, coach Giustozzi's students still maintained the dominant position.

In the second half, the advantage continued when Lebanon's Hassan Alame received a straight red card in the 24th minute.

Just 15 seconds after playing with an extra player, Ngoc Anh took advantage of the opportunity to score the winning goal 4-0.

In the remaining minutes, Lebanon was almost unable to create significant pressure on goalkeeper Van Tu's goal.

Closing the qualifying round, the Vietnamese team won all 9 points after 3 wins, leading Group E and officially participating in the 2026 AFC Futsal Championship, taking place in Indonesia from January 27 to February 7, 2026.
