"I still remember the time when I only weighed 48-50kg. When I went on stage, my extended family felt so sorry for me that someone bought me a loaf of bread. Even though it was just a loaf of bread, it was such a precious gift that it brought tears to my eyes. There were even audiences who sent vegetables and fruits to the dormitory where I lived three times a week to provide food. Many times when I went on stage, someone even gave me 1-2 thousand dong to give because they saw that I was so skinny and were afraid I wouldn't have money to eat.
I am happy to have a big family everywhere, in every profession, who always loves me. Now when I recall these early memories, I am still emotional and will never forget," he said.
The male singer also admitted that he was afraid of being in debt to his extended family, so he never dared to accept money from the audience. He said that after refusing to accept money many times, the audience understood and loved him more.
However, Ngoc Son advises artists to accept gifts if they are given because it is a sentiment from the audience, and also a way to make fans happy.

The famous singer admitted that an important catalyst must be mentioned, which is the encouragement and love of the audience for him over the past 35 years. This is the source of energy that helps Ngoc Son become younger and more energetic to devote all his efforts to his beloved family.
"Recently, a younger brother also wanted to carve a statue of Ngoc Son and his mother to give as a gift, but I was too shy to agree. I know that the love of my extended family for me is very great, but I am just a small person, only knowing how to love my parents and my extended family. The love that my extended family gives me is what Ngoc Son cherishes the most.
I know that my extended family's love for me is so great that I can never repay it all, so I still try to improve myself to repay this love," he confided.
