Speaking at the opening of the congress, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that since its establishment, the Party Delegation of the National Assembly has inherited and promoted the results and experiences of the previous National Assembly Party Delegation, along with the orientation, leadership and close direction of the Politburo , the Secretariat, and directly and regularly General Secretary To Lam.

Since its establishment, the Party Committee of the National Assembly has led and directed the completion of a large number of tasks to institutionalize the Party's strategic and historically significant policies and decisions, creating an important legal basis to serve the requirements of economic, cultural and social development, building the political system, preventing corruption, waste and negativity, and strengthening national defense, security and foreign affairs.

On September 11, the Politburo worked with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee on preparations for the first National Assembly Party Congress and concluded that the process of preparing for the congress and the content of the documents were serious, elaborate, scientific, and in accordance with regulations and instructions from the Central Committee.

The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the country's reality is posing urgent problems that need to be solved, the people are waiting and expecting the Party and State's decisions, requiring the National Assembly to continue to innovate its thinking and working methods.

The National Assembly Chairman said that yesterday, September 24, the congress carried out the contents according to the program, including in-depth discussions on the implementation of political tasks; leadership, direction, lessons learned from the previous term; directions, goals, tasks, solutions and development breakthroughs of the Party Committee in the 2025-2030 term.

Leaders and former leaders of the Party and State attended the congress. The congress had the theme of the National Assembly strongly innovating, improving the quality and efficiency of its operations, and firmly entering the new era.

The National Assembly Party Committee was established by the Politburo in January 2025 with 11 party organizations in the Ethnic Council, National Assembly committees and the State Audit with 2,800 party members. The Congress had 297 official delegates attending.
