The project will be implemented from October 2021 to September 2025 in Yen Minh, Meo Vac, Hoang Su Phi, and Xin Man districts (formerly Ha Giang province) with the goal of equipping 22,000 children, especially vulnerable groups in secondary schools, with cyber safety skills and improving their understanding of the internet. At the same time, it will improve the capacity of managers and teachers in addressing issues related to gender-based violence, human trafficking, and child marriage.

During the 4 years of implementation, the project's activities have brought about many positive results such as: Building a system of 24 online lessons; 574 homeroom teachers and nearly 22,000 students have improved their capacity and benefited from the communication program; opening 46 training classes on digital skills and e-Learning system.

In particular, 128 change leaders clubs have been established in 56 secondary schools. In addition, the project provides equipment such as computers, webcams, wifi transmitters, communication speakers, televisions... to serve teaching and communication activities at schools and in the community.

Speaking at the workshop, the leader of the Department of Education and Training emphasized that the Project has contributed to solving some of the challenges that the whole society is facing, which is the phenomenon of insecurity in cyberspace. In particular, it is more meaningful when ethnic minority students in the highlands of the province are raised awareness, know how to speak up and protect themselves from forms of gender violence, child marriage and human trafficking.

The provincial Department of Education hopes that Plan International Vietnam will continue to maintain and expand the project in the coming time and effectively integrate it into existing child protection programs.
