The Italian Consulate General awards the 'Beautiful ideas, good words' award

The contest 'Beautiful Italian, Beautiful Words - La Dolce Lingua' is an opportunity for young Vietnamese people to express their love for Italian - one of the most beautiful and emotional languages ​​in the world, while also arousing their interest in exploring Italian culture, cuisine, cinema and fashion - which have a strong appeal among young people.

After more than a month of launching, the beautiful Italian words contest - La Dolce Lingua officially ended with a solemn award ceremony on the evening of June 20. The program was organized by the Italian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with Tran Gia Company, aiming to spread the beauty of Italian language and culture in the Vietnamese community.

The contest also aims to record the number of Italian vocabulary used in the lives of contemporary Vietnamese people, thereby popularizing and spreading the use of Italian more widely. Therefore, each contestant must submit a 3-10 minute video, conveying a personal perspective on Italy through topics such as: cuisine, fashion, music , cinema, language, education, people, lifestyle...

The special feature of the contest is that each video must use at least one Italian word (or phrase) – as a meaningful “linguistic communication”.

After the launch period (from May 2 to June 16, 2025), the contest attracted more than 120 entries from contestants of many ages, occupations and provinces. The works, in the form of creative video content, have diverse colors - from personal sharing, foreign language learning stories to emotional cultural slices spanning the fields: music, painting, culture, cuisine, history, fashion ...

From the number of entries sent to the Organizing Committee, the Top 20 best contestants were selected, including the Top 7 official prizes including: First prize (worth 50 million VND) is a round-trip air ticket (Hanoi - Milan) of Vietnam Airlines and a Gold Cup. Second prize (worth 20 million VND) is a Saigon Tourist travel voucher and a Silver Cup; 2 third prizes (worth 10 million VND/prize) are vouchers to study Italian at Phuong Nam Education & a Bronze Cup, 3 consolation prizes (worth 5 million VND/prize) are vouchers at the Italian restaurant - Pasta Fresca and a commemorative medal.
