HCMC: Comprehensive review of old apartment renovation management

Accordingly, in order to promptly rectify, strengthen inspection and supervision of management and operation at a number of apartment buildings, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Director of the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance, the City Police and related units to guide the People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones in the city to organize a general inspection and comprehensive review of management and operation, renovation and repair work at apartment buildings.

In particular, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City requested units to focus on reviewing the status of construction, renovation, repair, expansion or installation, and covering to increase the usable area, obstructing the escape routes and escape routes on floors, corridors, and balconies of apartment buildings that do not meet construction standards and fire safety; ensuring the maintenance and repair of technical systems and the organization and operation of fire prevention and escape systems; Establishing and operating management boards (MBs), apartment building management and operation units according to regulations; Guiding, training, and coaching fire prevention and rescue skills for residents, MBs, and apartment building management and operation units.
