Tran Quyet Chien excelled in the finals, 'fighting' with genius Caudron

On the evening of October 26, Tran Quyet Chien faced Peter Ceulemans (Belgium) in the semi-final match of the Veghel 2024 Billiards World Cup taking place in the Netherlands. Before this match, fans were looking forward to a victory for Tran Quyet Chien, to be able to witness the number 1 player of Vietnam compete with Frederic Caudron in the final match.

Tran Quyet Chien had a very good start, entering the match with a series of 8 points in the opening round. The player born in 1984 continuously increased the gap, while the Belgian player could not find the right point. In the 5th round, Quyet Chien had a series of 5 to take the lead 17-5. The Vietnamese player continued to launch a series of 7 in the 8th round to bring the match into the break, creating a gap of nearly 20 points (leading 27-6) with Peter Ceulemans.

In the second half of the match, Tran Quyet Chien could no longer maintain the same scoring speed as in the first half. It can be said that Tran Quyet Chien and Caudron are quite fated with each other. In their last encounter at the Porto Billiards World Cup 2024 in July, Quyet Chien beat Caudron 40-38.
