Deploying electronic medical records in Di Linh area before September 30, 2025

On the afternoon of September 18, Di Linh Regional Medical Center held a conference on electronic medical records - a system for storing and managing patient health information on computers, instead of traditional paper documents.

Attending the Conference were Mr. Huynh Thanh Huynh, Deputy Director of the Department of Health; members of the Appraisal Council; leaders and officers in charge of implementing electronic medical records at the Di Linh Regional Medical Center and representatives of Di Linh Social Insurance and VNPT Di Linh.

Di Linh Regional Medical Center is one of the pioneering units in Lam Dong to deploy electronic medical records, aiming to completely replace paper medical records before September 30, 2025 according to the roadmap of the Ministry of Health .

Starting from April 2025, the Center has piloted electronic medical records in the Pediatrics Department and the Emergency - Intensive Care and Poison Control Department. After the testing phase, by July 1, 2025, the system was expanded to the entire hospital, marking a strong digital transformation in medical examination and treatment.

Currently, the medical examination and treatment management software system has reached level 6 according to the Ministry of Health's IT application criteria. Meanwhile, the testing management system and the medical image storage and transmission system have both reached an advanced level.

Notably, 100% of medical staff, including 128 doctors, nurses and professional staff, have been granted SmartCA digital signatures, ready to sign and authenticate records on the electronic medical record platform.

Currently, the LAN and Wifi systems have covered the entire hospital, adding many peripheral devices. However, the center is still upgrading the security system, specialized firewalls and building information security profiles to meet the strict network security standards of the Ministry of Health.

After listening to the report on the electronic medical record management information system at Di Linh Regional Medical Center, the Council visited, inspected, and evaluated the actual information technology infrastructure, information technology applications, and the actual implementation of electronic medical records in the departments.

Specifically includes: Reception area, medical examination and treatment registration; Outpatient clinic; X-ray and ultrasound area; Testing Department; Inpatient treatment department and Server room, paper medical record storage room...

Thereby, comparing with the criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Health. The members of the Appraisal Council and related members also proposed a number of technical solutions and information technology solutions in implementing electronic medical records.
