Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission burns incense in memory of the late General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh

On the afternoon of June 29, commemorating the 110th anniversary of General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh's birthday (July 1, 1915 - July 1, 2025), comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, came to burn incense in memory of the late General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh at his private home.

Accompanying were comrades: Nguyen Manh Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Huy Ngoc, Head of Department of Locality 3, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Thanh Xuan, Secretary of the District Party Committee of District 3.

At the private residence of the late General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia lit incense and respectfully observed a moment of silence to commemorate comrade Nguyen Van Linh - an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh , a steadfast and creative leader of the Party, a shining example of the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility before the Party and the people.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia also visited the family and relatives of the late General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh and shared about the country's major events that have taken place and are taking place.

Late General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh's real name was Nguyen Van Cuc, born on July 1, 1915, in Giai Pham commune, My Van district (now Yen My district), Hung Yen province.

Joining the Student Union movement of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association at the age of 14, he has nearly 70 years of activities in many regions, localities, and fields, spanning all three regions of the country and has been entrusted by the Party with many important responsibilities.

He held important positions: Secretary of the Saigon - Cho Lon City Party Committee, Standing Member of the Southern Regional Party Committee during the resistance war; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee after the country's reunification; and then was assigned the important responsibility of being the Party's General Secretary in 1986 - an important year marking the beginning of our country's renovation process.

Wherever he was, whatever his job, or whatever his position, comrade Nguyen Van Linh was always devoted to the Party and the people, steadfast in the face of all difficulties and challenges, steadfast in the ideals of national independence and socialism; excellently completed his tasks and made great contributions to the Party and the revolution.
