Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology appoints 14 professors and associate professors

(NLDO) - The teaching staff of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has more than 600 people, of which 84% have doctoral degrees; 14 are professors, 131 are associate professors.

On the morning of December 27, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology held a ceremony to honor and appoint 14 professors and associate professors recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024.

Among the 14 staff and lecturers of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology recognized as professors and associate professors in 2024, there are 2 professors including Rector Mai Thanh Phong and Professor Truong Tich Thien, Department of Mechanical Engineering - Faculty of Applied Sciences.

Information from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology said the school has a teaching staff of more than 600 people, with about 84% of them having doctoral degrees.

The decision to recognize 14 staff and lecturers as meeting the standards of Professor and Associate Professor in 2024 has contributed to raising the total number of Professors and Associate Professors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology to 14 professors and 131 associate professors.

In November 2024, the State Council of Professors announced 600 candidates meeting the standards for the titles of professor and associate professor.
