According to ACV, it is expected that on August 19, construction of package No. 12: Construction and supply and installation of equipment for runways, taxiways, aircraft parking lots and auxiliary works (part of the Ca Mau Airport expansion and upgrade project), construction period is 14 months.
During the construction period, Ca Mau Airport will be closed for 12 months, from November 1, 2025 to October 31, 2026 .
ACV said it will direct the contractor to speed up progress and shorten construction time to put Ca Mau Airport back into operation soon, minimizing the impact on the local socio -economy.
The project to expand and upgrade Ca Mau Airport was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1188/QD-TTg dated October 15, 2024, with the goal of investing in the construction, expansion and upgrading of Ca Mau Airport to ensure the operation of A320, A321 aircraft and equivalent; creating momentum for economic, cultural and social development, while ensuring national security and defense of Ca Mau province and the region.
ACV is the investor. The project has a total investment of about 2,400 billion VND.
