The play 'Comrade' received the Ho Chi Minh City Creative Award

With outstanding achievements in the field of literature and arts (field 5), the play 'Comrade' by the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association was awarded the 4th Ho Chi Minh City Creative Award in 2025, along with a prize of 200 million VND.

On the evening of July 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a ceremony to award certificates of merit to 51 authors and groups of authors who had outstanding achievements - winning the 4th Ho Chi Minh City Creativity Award in 2025.

The organizing committee said that this year the quality of applications, projects, topics and works registered to participate in the 4th Ho Chi Minh City Creativity Award in all fields has been improved, because the selection criteria for the 4th award have been improved and the selection and screening work from the beginning has also been carried out seriously.

The organizing committee received 292 projects, works, solutions, and topics. The experts of the 7-field council reviewed and selected the highly appreciated projects to enter the next round.

In the field of literature and arts (field 5), the play Comrades by the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association excellently received the Ho Chi Minh City Creative Award, along with a prize of 200 million VND.

There were 3 second prizes awarded to the landscape architecture work of Military Hospital 175 (author: Thuy Anh Architecture and Landscape Design Consulting Company Limited); the dance play Phan Ngoc (author: choreographer Ha Thanh Hau); the memoir Following the Footsteps of People (author: Professor, Doctor, writer Trinh Quang Phu), with a prize of 150 million VND each.

There were 5 third prizes awarded to the play Desire for Peace (author: Ho Chi Minh City Drama Theater); the song Continuing the Story of Peace (author: musician Nguyen Van Chung); the dance play Timemark (author: choreographer, master Le Van Hai); the oil painting Road on High (author: Painter Nguyen Trong Hoan); the photo book Pride of Ho Chi Minh City (author: Hai Au Photography Association, Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association), with a prize of 100 million VND for each prize.

The Ho Chi Minh City Creative Award aims to promptly discover and honor authors and groups of authors whose creative products have made positive contributions to the development of Ho Chi Minh City; at the same time, support and create favorable policies for authors whose products have won awards. Up to now, the award has affirmed the creative potential and the spirit of continuous innovation among the city's people. The works, projects and creative products have encouraged and aroused the spirit of competition and creative inspiration in the entire city's political system and among the city's people. In particular, the award spreads and promotes the creative spirit of Ho Chi Minh City's people at all times, everywhere, in all fields.
