Sharing the same view, Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh - a first-year student at Hue University of Education (Hue University), commented that the 2018 General Education Program requires students to equip themselves with many important abilities, including the ability to self-orient their careers early through choosing a combination of subjects.

According to Quynh, students need to clearly understand their own abilities, interests and passions in order to maximize their potential in studying. Ms. Tuyet advised that once students have chosen a subject, they need to persevere in pursuing it. If they encounter difficulties, they should find solutions instead of giving up. Choosing a combination of subjects based on trends can lead to exhaustion, boredom with studying, and affect learning and training results.
