11 police schools recruit additional students in 2024

The Ministry of Public Security 's Training Department announced the recruitment of 30 additional positions in 11 police schools, with 3 admission methods including: direct admission, combining international language certificates with academic records, combining high school graduation exam scores and the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test.

Candidates participating in the additional recruitment exam must ensure the conditions for having participated in the 2024 People's Public Security recruitment exam according to each case (high school students, discharged conscripts, cultural school students, active conscripts) but were not admitted to university, People's Public Security intermediate school, were not admitted or have not enrolled in schools outside the public security sector.

The deadline for receiving applications is before 5:00 p.m. on October 23 at the police station of the unit or locality that received the first application. The police station or locality sends the application and registration data to the People's Police academies and universities.

Each candidate can register up to three wishes, in order of priority. Schools also give priority to admission in majors and schools for first-time candidates. The results of the supplementary recruitment will be announced 10 days later.

In case there are no candidates admitted by the three methods above, schools will consider admission based on the assessment test scores of the Ministry of Public Security, from high to low until the quota is full. This score is on a scale of 100, plus priority according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , bonus points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.

Scoring formula: Admission score = Assessment test score of the Ministry of Public Security + Bonus points x 10/3

In case the number of candidates has the same admission score, the admission will be considered in the following order: first, consider candidates with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test scores from high to low until the quota is met; second, consider candidates with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test scores from high to low until the quota is met.

In case of considering all the above criteria but still failing to meet the target, when evaluating the scoring plan, we will coordinate to report to the Ministry of Public Security for consideration and decision.

In 2024, the total enrollment target for public security academies and schools is 2,150. The benchmark score based on the combination of high school graduation exam scores and the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test is 16 - 25.52 points.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, the 2024 assessment exam will have about 18,000 candidates participating, an increase of 20% compared to 2023. This is the third year the exam has been organized by the Ministry of Public Security to serve as a basis for admission to public security academies and schools.
