This is a national sporting event, spreading historical and cultural values and solidarity spirit, towards the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vu Minh Ly, Deputy Director of the Communication Center, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , Head of the organizing committee, emphasized that September 2, 1945 is a brilliant milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation - the birth day of an independent and autonomous country.
In the joyful atmosphere of celebrating National Day, the Vietnam Run with the theme "Fierce Vietnamese Spirit - For a Green Future" held at the National Exhibition Fair Center and Vinhomes Global Gate urban area is an important and meaningful activity, welcoming the Exhibition of 80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness Journey and the country's achievements on the occasion of National Day September 2 here.
After an independent assessment process, the Vietnam Record Organization has officially set a record: My Vietnam 2025 is the race with the largest number of athletes wearing red flags with yellow stars participating ever. Each of the more than 21,000 athletes is a flame, together lighting up national pride, paying tribute to generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
The race is not only a sporting event, but also a festival of love for the Fatherland, where the community spirit and the nation's aspiration to rise are affirmed. At the competition venue, red with the flag, the athletes broke through their limits together, joining the journey of "Fierce Vietnamese Spirit", connecting the present with the glorious past of the nation.
Besides its historical significance , My Vietnam is also proud to be a green race, aiming for a sustainable lifestyle and environmental protection. With the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the National Plastic Action Partnership Program in Vietnam (NPAP), the event is committed to reducing emissions, minimizing plastic waste, and encouraging the community to take action for a green Vietnam.
From the track, the message of sustainable development and the commitment to net zero emissions before 2050 continued to spread strongly.
The event was held at iconic venues such as the National Exhibition and Convention Center – one of the 10 largest exhibition complexes in the world, and Vinhomes Global Gate urban area – the new gateway to the Capital, creating a large-scale, modern and friendly space.
My Vietnam Run not only inspires sports and national spirit, but also contributes to promoting a green, healthy lifestyle and responsibility for the future.
