Subjects and conditions for enjoying sick leave benefits from July 1, 2025 are stipulated in Article 42 of the 2024 Law on Social Insurance.
Accordingly, there are 10 groups of subjects participating in compulsory social insurance who are entitled to sick leave benefits when taking leave from work.
Employees belonging to the 10 above groups will be entitled to sick leave benefits when taking leave under one of the six cases specified in Clause 1, Article 42 of the 2024 Law on Social Insurance.
The 2024 Social Insurance Law also stipulates four cases in which employees will not be entitled to sick leave benefits even if they take time off work due to illness, injury, etc.
