Prioritize easy-to-digest, warm foods

Chicken soup or chicken porridge cooked with onions, perilla or chicken soup cooked with ginger , is one of the good dishes to eat when you have a cold. The nutrients in these dishes help strengthen the immune system. Chicken also contains many vitamins A, E, C, B1, B2, PP and minerals calcium, phosphorus, iron... In addition to being nutritious, chicken is also an easily digestible and absorbed food.

"People with flu should eat foods that are easy to digest and warm to increase the effect of relieving the flu. Sipping the aroma of hot chicken soup, chicken porridge, hot chicken broth... helps fight bacteria and viruses," Dr. Vu shared.

You can replace chicken with beef to make beef and carrot porridge or beef and perilla porridge or beef and carrot soup... Beef is rich in protein, iron, magnesium, selenium, phosphorus, vitamin B6, B12, zinc...
