The 26th Green Wave Awards ceremony just took place in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to the names of the award winners, Le Quyen continued to become the center of controversy when she attended as an award presenter.
It is worth mentioning that Le Quyen's award presentation was criticized by many viewers as "tactless", "hasty", "ruining the program's script". Some people even commented that the female singer made the award presentation lose its necessary appeal and suspense.
Faced with the controversy, Le Quyen shared on her personal page to explain the incident.
The female singer said that the organizers gave her 2 envelopes. Singer Thu Phuong would be the first to read and Le Quyen would read later. The organizers also did not tell her that before each result, the nominations would be shown.
"The two sisters went on stage. After reading the nominations, Ms. Phuong finished reading and invited everyone to come up to receive the award, so Quyen thought of reading the second result she was holding. It was late when she went on stage, and she was most afraid of wasting time, so when she opened the results and saw Van Mai Huong receiving the award again, Quyen was so happy that she read it right away.
"Yesterday the show was so much fun that it was later than planned. The show said Quyen would present the award at 9am but it was probably 10:30am when Quyen got on stage," she explained.

The singer said that when she left, no one said anything. Only when she got home did she realize she needed to listen to the nominations again.
"Sorry to everyone on the nomination list. Please understand, it was because of not understanding that the program had an accident. Yesterday was so great, I watched and screamed with passion. Congratulations to the loves who received the Green Wave Award last night," Le Quyen added.

At the 2023 Green Wave Awards, Le Quyen and Thu Phuong were invited to announce the winner in the Song of the Year category. Le Quyen was the one holding the envelope containing the results. As soon as she got on stage, the female singer shared: " Sitting down there watching everyone tear it up was very difficult, I tore a few already, to make it faster."
According to the program's script, MC Gil Le and Tuyen Tang will share about the meaning of the award and invite the audience to watch a clip introducing the list of nominees for the Song of the Year category.
While Gil Le was introducing the award categories, Le Quyen was very excited when she found out who the winner was. The female singer exclaimed excitedly: "Oh my god, now Quyen is reading it right away, my little sister."
Seeing that the award presenters were a bit too hasty and interrupted the nomination introduction, the 2 MCs immediately called out "Ms. Quyen" but Le Quyen seemed not to hear. The female singer quickly announced the victory to Van Mai Huong despite the 2 MCs trying to call her name.
