Hot warning: Impersonating a hospital to scam again in Ho Chi Minh City

(NLDO) - The Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology in Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a warning about a number of fake hospital fanpages and accounts to commit fraud.

According to the leader of the Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology in Ho Chi Minh City, the "Odonto-Stomatology Run" organized by the hospital in 2025 has ended, the 2026 season is expected to take place on May 15 and 16, 2026.

However, right after the race ended recently, a number of fake fanpages and Facebook accounts appeared impersonating the organizers of this race to send messages, invite registration, and request personal information and payment of fees.

The fake pages have arbitrarily taken and posted images and articles about the race that the hospital posted on the hospital's fanpage.

When the hospital reported the impersonation to Facebook, the fake page immediately changed its links to avoid being reported.

According to the leaders of the Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology in Ho Chi Minh City, the two official communication channels of the race organized by the hospital are: website: https://www.rhm.run and fanpage: https://www.facebook.com/rhm.run.

Only organize onsite races, no online runs or walks.

The hospital does not send private messages requesting money transfers or personal information outside of official channels.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health also warned that in recent days, there has been a trick of impersonating medical staff to defraud blood donors in Ho Chi Minh City. The subjects asked for personal information with the excuse of "abnormal blood donation results".

The Department of Health confirmed that this agency and the blood donation receiving unit only contact people through official methods. Messages sent to blood donors will display the brand name "BVTMHH" or "TTHIENMAUTP".
